"Originally I was messaged by Angiâ s that there was no one available to do my lawn on Monday. The appt had been made the week before.. notification was about 30 minutes before the window for the service was to start. I looked through listings of other companies. I was contacted within a few hours. The owner of company came out within another couple of hours. He quoted a price & said he could do it that afternoon. Remarkably quick response & action by Brian. I have him scheduled for tomorrow."

"Steve was very professional. He emailed promptly with his estimate and to set up a time. He was very knowledgeable (listened intently and answered all my questions/concerns) and very careful at manipulating the tiller around existing plants, our new fence, and our French drains. He got the job done quickly and beautifully! Highly recommend Steve!"

"This is a wonderful company! What we we essentially needed was to have a chainlink fence removed and to have the area reclaimed. I wasn't sure who to call for that kind of a project. We checked Angie's List for companies that dealt with fencing and were able to find several leads from people who installed fencing, contractors and landscapers. Of the people we called for estimates, Dusty impressed us the most with his understanding of what we needed done and his "Can do!" attitude. And he COULD DO! He and his crew were able to come out right away to do the work. As is usually the case there were unexpected things that came up--like having to move (and then replace) a pile of firewood piece by piece(!), but these were handled quickly and efficiently. Moreover, the crew was knowledgeable and meticulous in their reclamation work. They really are great landscapers in addition to solid overall workers. While we were originally apprehensive about how the lawn would look after having the fence torn out, we are now delighted. Thanks to Dusty and his crew we're wondering why we didn't do this sooner!"

"I was really impressed with attention to detail - Brian moved a tree about 20' and went above expectations when he transplanted the grass from the new location to the old location of the tree and even rolled up my 150' hose when done.  He also called and had all the utilities marked which I really appreciated as a time saver for me.  I understand there is no guarantee on tree transplants but based on the level of detail I am confident the tree has a better than good chance to survive in it's new location.  Well worth the cost, will definitely use his services again in the future. <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Castle-rock, MN

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
