"Vitaliy came out right away and gave an estimate which turned out to be the best of 4 bids solicited. Quite a range of job estimates! He and is crew arrived as scheduled and completed the tree and shrub removal including removing the roots and grinding the tree stump below groud level and carefully removed of all the debris without damaging any of the yard, walkway or other close by vegetation. A very well done job and in only 2 hours time! Everyone was friendly and efficient and I would gladly hire them again should the need arise."

"Tree removal for a huge silver maple went surprisingly fast—they used a crane due to size and accessibility of tree. Stump grinding and clean up was also excellent. Entire crew save for one person was extremely friendly and answered any and all questions we had (the one seemed defensive when I asked some questions.) Monica in main office was great to work with on phone; Jason was extremely knowledgeable during estimate. Very competitive estimate and no problems at all during job."

Small jobs welcome

"Dwight and his team at Arbor Tree & Lawn Services completely transformed my rental property. After nearly 15 years of tenant occupancy, the landscaping was severely overgrown and the house had almost disappeared behind trees and bushes. Dwight brought a vision, incredible knowledge, and a hardworking team. They trimmed trees, reshaped shrubs, rebuilt landscape beds, installed fresh mulch, planted flowers, and added beautiful boulders that made the property look like a model home. Neighbors constantly ask who did the work, and my wife says the landscaping now looks better than our own home. Dwight is professional, honest, resourceful, and goes far beyond what is expected. I have no doubt his work increased the value of my property. Highly recommended."

"This was my first time having a tree stump removed, so I wasnâ t sure what to expect. I had three stumps to get rid of. There was a lot of clean up afterwards, but luckily I had some help from family and we were able to clean up pretty quickly. Jim was available the day after I contacted him and was prompt and professional. He was reasonably priced and completed the work efficiently. My tree stumps were waist high and although Jim would have preferred the stumps be cut down shorter before providing services, I wasnâ t able to get someone to cut it down at late notice and he took care of the job anyway. The project resulted in quite a lot of wood chips and it was hard to tell if there were any spots missed, so Jim informed me that he would come back once we finished cleaning up to grab any spots that were missed. Jim did just that, he was back over the very next day and finished up the missed spots. Jim did a great job and Iâ m very please with the work. I would hire him again and definitely recommend."

"We made an appointment for a quote and they didn't show up for the scheduled appointment. We had to call them to find out why they didn't show. Then when they did show up their quote was significantly higher than a quote we had gotten the day before from a different tree service."

"On August 22nd, the Perfect Landscape Tree & Services crew spent the entire day removing six sizable trees from our yard under the supervision of Rod and Ryan. The exhausting work was executed with utmost skill and experience requiring a crane and bobcat. All this work was accomplished without damage or delay. The crew returned two days later to grind out the stumps, cover their holes with dirt refill, then level the areas with good top soil, and raking up the yard. We highly recommend the work of Perfect Landscape. They are thoroughly professional. Great people to work with — five stars on all counts. We most certainly would return to them for additional work in the future. David & Anne Bloomington, MN"

"I was in a rush to get these trees removed because I had purchased new trees and was to receive delivery of these the following weekend. We had a verbal agreement to remove these trees and I had marked the ones I wanted removed with spray paint. There was a misunderstanding about the price, he quoted $85 per man hour and I thought it was $85/hour. He (DJ) thought they could do the job within 3 hours. It turns out that they had five guys working on the job and it ended up being more expensive than I had hoped. I had another quote for $600 and this ended up being $1000. They did do a fantastic job and did it while I wasn't present and in the time I had requested. To add to the story, after learning of the mis-communication, Steve called me personally and discussed the situation. He apologized for the mis-communication and gave me some of the money back to make it right. This effort goes above and beyond what most companies would do and it shows that this company is reputable, honest, and customer focused. I would recommend you use Steve and his crew for fast quality work.

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Castle-rock, MN

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
