"I came home from work to find our 40-gallon water heater was not working (it was working that morning). The pilot was out and I could not get it re-lit (I do know how to light a pilot) After checking a number of companies on Angie's List, I contacted DB's Plumbing and Drain. Although it was almost 6pm, a very nice person answered the phone and I explained my dilemma. I was told they could send someone that night but would have to charge an after-hours rate. I was reasonably certain what was wrong would not be a simple fix like re-lighting a pilot so scheduled a visit for the following morning between 10 am and 12 noon. Michael D arrived shortly after 10 am. He was very courteous, polite and professional. Before entering my home, he donned a pair of shoe covers which was kept on as long as he was in the house. He diagnosed the problem as being a failed main burner system. As the water heater was 14-years-old, I weighed the cost of replacing just the main burner system on such an old unit against replacing the unit itself. I opted for the water heater replacement. Michael setup the old unit to drain while he went to retrieve the new one from their warehouse which took him about 45 minutes. Upon his return, he removed the old unit and cleaned up the area. He then cut back the existing copper lines to eliminate the numerous soldered couplings from the previous homeowner's repairs. He installed new copper pipes including a new quarter turn shut-off valve. A catch pan was placed and the water heater setup in it. Up reconnecting the gas line, he installed a sediment trap or drip leg (it did not have one previously) which catches sediment sometimes present in natural gas. After bringing the system online, Michael checked the gas line connections for leaks using a detection monitor. The installation was clean and neat and it is obvious Michael is conscientious about his work. Always interested in how things in my home work, Michael was very gracious in answering my questions regarding the installation. I am very happy with the install.and would like to thank Michael for his professionalism and the education."

Joseph took the time to explain to us the problem and our options for attacking it as well as his thoughts about the best path forward. I am a retired Electrical Construction and Maintenance Foreman for over 35 years from INOVA Fairfax Hospital Engineering Department and was very good at what I did and handled many Contracts . So when my old furnace blew up I got 3 prices of which Appleton/Campbell was not the cheapest one and I was going to get Trane equipment but after I talking to Appleton/Campbell's take off man and their Estimator I decided on Carrier and  from them . It took me a few night to ( Swallow their bottom line ) , but i am most certainly glad that I did . My parents were right again ( You Get What You Pay For .) They were right on the money with their estimated time of completion . Like I told them , ( I was a picky old b****** as for as neatness and workmen ship goes ) and for a picky old b****** I was overwhelmed with the finish product as far as  their workmen ship and nearness and with out any nagging from me . It took them a little better than a day and a half and all toll their were 5 different men here at different times and every one of them were as nice as they could have been at least in the Construction Trade . You could tell that they all were loyal company men that liked their jobs and their Bosses which showed up very clearly in their workmen ship .I wanted to wait at least a month until I got use the the sounds and operations of every thing and boy this  Carrier Equipment is quiet as a mouse and  is easy to operate even for a 74 year old man.  I would most certainly recommend  not only the equipment but also would highly recommend the installing contractor better known as -

"Let's start out by asking:  Would I recommend Ouellette or use them again, ABSOLUTELY!!
(Our upstairs A/C unit stopped working and from a previous HVAC company we received an extremely high quote.  We knew we were on borrowed time for our downstairs unit too). 
We were give the name and number to Ouellette HVAC by good friends of ours.  I was unsure if they would come two counties up to where we live, but they were able to fit us in.  Which worked out to be a bonus for us.  :)   The receptionist who answered the phone was polite and when she said she would return our call...she actually did !!  No tracking anyone down, or waiting for them to call back.  
Devon came out to inspect our A/C unit which was not working.  He was on time, very polite and extremely thorough.  He worked up the numbers and explained in detail what needed to be done with the upstairs unit and why were were having airflow issues upstairs.  (I don't think we've ever felt the air in the master bedroom since we bought the house 4 years ago).  Anyway, the upstairs furnace had to be turned so the new coil (A/C) unit would properly fit.  
Since we knew we were on borrowed time with the downstairs unit we opted to get a quote for both.  After looking at the the unit, we knew found out we needed new furnace too.  In any event, the price, for all three things came in just over what the previously company gave us for one A/C unit upstairs!  And that would not have included fixing/adjusting the venting issues for the lack of airflow.  
One of the things I particularly liked was that I did not feel like I was being talked down to because I was a woman.  I felt that I was spoken to as anyone homeowner should be spoken to, male or female.  
Devon came out for the installation with two others and within two days everything was up and running.  I can honestly say we can actually feel the airflow in the master bedroom (we thought we could not because the room was over the garage...come to find out it was just airflow issues!!)  
Would I recommend Ouellette or use them again, in a heartbeat and without any hesitation!

"Pressure tank for my well ruptured. Appleton Campbell literally responded in a minute or 2, and within 2 hours someone came out to give me a quote and said that this could be fixed by 2 pm.
