"Jay did a great job installing a multi-level paver patio and natural stone steps. He provided a quote for the job very quickly and completed the job within the promised time frame. We are very appreciative of Jay's design ideas and detailed workmanship. He always responded to our inquiries in a timely manner and was very accommodating of our schedule. It was a real pleasure dealing with Jay on this project. No stress and no hassles. The patio turned out great."

"Played a little bit of phone tag initially setting up an appointment to meet (it was a holiday weekend), but once Brent showed up to the house, everything went smooth. From previous inspections, I already knew my chimney needed a liner; he inspected it himself, gave me a quote and told me it would take a week to get the liner/parts. Sure enough, the liner/parts showed up a week later, he completed all of the work in one day, and for the price he quoted me. Would definitely recommend Brent Barker and Coastal Chimney and Masonry."

"Initial work a few years ago was great and service was timely and completed. 16 months ago, I reached out for repairs on a few areas and clean/reseal maintenance in certain areas. I expected the work to be done in 2018. When the weather turned colder in fall, I was told would have to be done following spring. I contacted paver savers approximately May. The work has yet to be done. I am loyal and want the same provider to complete the work. As a consumer and client, I expect that. I reach out almost weekly for estimated time of service. Initially in season, I was told the work would be done as soon as weather permitted. Given rain and weather I remained patient. However, the provider has not responded to email or text or phone messages over the last many weeks. I am disappointed. I will provide another review when and if the work is done but cannot currently recommend CT Paver Savers to prospective clients."

"I met the owner, Harlan and his designer Brian, late November or early December and we looked the property over. Several things I knew I wantred and pointed out some problem areas. Nothing could get done until spring so there was no hurry in design. a month or so later they came to me with a preliminary design and with ideas for the problem areas. We made some changes and modifications and they came back with final plans, materials list and cost. I thought the price was reasonable and gave them a 50% deposit. As soon as the weather broke they started work. The crew was cery experienced and knowledgable and did great work. After a few days I added more work without asking the price because I knew it would be fair and reasonable. It was. I couldn't be happier with the experience. Harlan is an honest professional and his crew is talented and friendly. I can't recommend them highly enough. A+ <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Central Village, CT

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
