"Ryan Lucero came to our home to patch some drywall in rooms in our townhouse. He was dealing mostly with my husband, who is elderly and has a difficult time making decisions. I was not happy with the initial price we paid for simple drywall patching-not a large townhome at all- which came to $2,000. My husband had asked them then to paint the patches, which I was unaware of. I believe Mr. Lucero seized an opportunity to take advantage of him and asked for $3, 300 to paint the patches! This is a 1500 square foot townhome! My husband gave them half of that amount for a deposit for the patches to be painted. Two hours later, When I returned home and found out about the price, I left a message with Mr. Lucero to cancel the sale. He called back immediately and was rude, angry, accusatory, obstinate and highly disrespectful of me. "You called me to say Take a Hike? No way!" He threatened that he had already deposited our check and would not return it, because "this is a binding contract!" This man is highly unprofessional, takes advantage of senior citizens, and is threatening in his manner. No one should ask this man to come into their home. I believe it is a clear example of senior abuse. He priced it high because he knew my husband was flustered and disoriented. In the end, he was asking for $5,300 to patch and paint 4-5 places. Buyer beware!"

"I hired Freddy to mud and texture a 190 sq ft newly dry walled wall for $1200. He was very nice and started between 8-9 and was done by 12:30. I was told that the price of $1200 was based on 2 days of work to sand areas and to allow several coats of Mudd to dry. Since the project took him less than 4 hours to complete I was confused and he said that he used a product that only takes 20 min to dry. The wall came out smooth. I asked if he was going to apply texture and he said it would cost more for him to come back. He did cover my floor with plastic, but all my artwork and furnishings are full now full of drywall dust. I feel that $1200 is a huge amount to pay for one wall that has several windows and to not take the time to cover all my furnishings. "

Brandon from Rival Drywall came out the day We contacted him, gave us a quote, and started the job the next day. He recommended a painter and coordinated the schedule so the painter could come immediately after the drywall finish work was completed. Brandon was professional, on time every time, he communicated process and status better than any trades person I have ever worked with, and he even reinstalled a ceiling fan and curtain rods after the job was completed. "Mario, the technician, seemed very nice and knowledgeable The $49 quoted trip charge turned into a $220 diagnostic charge not including any service. He wasn’t sure why water was appearing on the floor, but felt it may be due to some clogging of a PVC drain tube. He said it was not possible to simply clean it out, but it should be replaced at a cost of another $250 (for a pipe?). We declined. We subsequently had another repairman come in who said there is no problem cleaning the tube and did so. The material clogging the pipe is shown in the photo."
