"My wife and I met with Joshua and his brother Michael at Creative Cabinetworks and told them what we were looking for (a rustic one of a kind solid wood mantel).  We were shown a very dusty, dirty 10' solid wood beam with grayish paint on it.  We were told it could be reconditioned and stained to our liking.  We agreed and they immediately got to  work restoring the piece to our specifications and choice of stain.  Joshua came out to our house to install the very heavy mantel (now 5' mantel) and after laying a drop cloth to catch the mess, he very carefully installed the heavy mantel using four very large lag bolts into the wood studs and then placed screws from the top of the mantel next to the lag bolts to make sure the mantel stays in place.  Because Joshua installed the mantel so well I am quite confident that not only will it support it's own weight but probably another 100- 200  pounds on top of the mantel.  After the installation Joshua went to his van and came back with a shop vac and proceeded to vacuum up all the little bits and pieces much to my wife's liking!  I would highly recommend Joshua and his brother Michael for any of your woodworking needs as they are both very conscientiousness! <br />"
