"Called to schedule a repair and was told a price based on measurements and that the job would be done same day as when the technician came. Technician came out next day and the price almost doubled and it took two more days for the window to be repaired. We are satisfied with the window but wish the person on the phone would of had more accurate information."

"I called SETCON to come out & replace/paint an interior door; they also fixed my garage door hardware, my kitchen cabinet so it sits flush, & replaced my light kit in my ceiling fan. I found their prices to be very reasonable! They look/act professional, ethical, respectable, clean, & very cute! They drive professional nice vehicles & look/act totally trustworthy. This is the first handyman service in my 40 years of adulthood that I would strongly recommend & be loyal to. "We have an auto-maintenance agreement with The Door Refinishing Co, Inc( HappyDoors) and are 100% satisfied with their service. Several years ago (5-7) they refinished out faded and finished damaged front door. It is brutalized with the western setting sun. Since that time we have a refinsh agreement every 6 months ($79.95) and our front door appears new and beautiful year round ! And, we don't have to be home or leave door ajar during and after the maintenance (but you do for initial refinish but door is completely sealed with plastic to prevent wind and dust from home and refinished door). We are so happy to have found this company with prices, availability, punctuality, coutesy, and professionalism ! Complete refinishing of course took a little time and maintenance is done rather quickly. No inconvenience at all on maintenance ! We would use no one else for our doors !"

"Scheduling an appointment: I called on a Friday night at 7:30pm, thinking of leaving a voicemail to be called back as early as possible. To my surprise, somebody replied immediately and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Punctuality/Friendliness: Worker showed up on time (within 4 hour time bracket), after calling 20 min advance, very friendly and polite, great. Work quality/Professionalism, Part 1: Main problem (broken spring) was quickly identified, fair quote for replacement. I mentioned a couple of things I had noticed as a side effect of the spring breaking (door slightly bent, unhook cables...), was told this would not be a problem. He clearly knew what he was doing, no hesitation and very efficient in replacing the parts and putting back everything together. Towards the end, he showed a little frustration in things not being installed properly by the previous contractor (8 years prior). Everything great until here, and I expect for most customers needing this kind of work, the experience would just be great. Work/Professionalism part 2: After installing everything back together and trying the opener one time, the door started grinding for a few seconds and not moving as expected. At this point, after spending 2-3 minutes looking around, I was told that the original installation was incorrect; that as a result the garage door opener gear was stripped (could tell from noise), and that it was not worth throwing money at it to repair the current setup, that instead I would need a brand new installation (>$500), and that it could not be done until sometime next week, that he had another job to go to afterwards; so our interaction was done for the day. After he left, I grabbed a wrench, tightened up a couple of nuts, readjusted the limits on the garage door opener, opened/closed the door 50+ times and this works better than it ever has, took me 2-3 minutes at most. Overall, I have mixed feelings about this. The job that was done was done very well; and I understand that someone would not want to put his name on an installation that doesn't meet their standards, as my follow up fix may work for a limited time only, who knows. But I would have preferred to be told that, rather than the conclusion that the entire installation had to be replaced with no hope of it working again. As bad as my setup is, it had worked with no issue for 8 years, and the problem of the day was caused by a regular maintenance item (broken spring), not the installation itself. So I would have preferred for him not to give up after 2 min of troubleshooting and presenting the upsell at the only option. Also I would have MUCH prefer if all those installation issues (that apparently looked pretty obvious), would have been mentioned before starting the initial repair, as at the end of the day I was given a confident diagnostic with a $250 repair quote, and $250 later was left with an inoperative door that would cost me an extra $500+ to repair. Overall, I would use their service again."

"The work was done very, very well. Alex gave us by-far the best quote for the work needed and didn't try to over-sell us things we didn't need. Alex did a perfect job installing a brand-new, high-tech Chamberlain motor to this second door and fixed the broken panel perfectly to match the other panels and the other door. In addition, he reinforced BOTH doors to make them stronger and prevent future breaks. He also modified BOTH doors to make them substantially quieter to open and close. The main door has a very old motor and used to be super loud when it was being opened or closed. Now, it is maybe 30% as loud as it used to be--a significant reduction. Alex also hit an unfortunate road-block when we realized we had bad-wiring in the house. He spent many extra, unanticipated hours working in the heat of the Texas summer to resolve the issue. He did an AMAZING job and is EXTREMELY professional and honest! Next time we or a friend need to have a garage motor replaced or fixed, we will be sure to give him a call! TLDR - Hire Garage Door King Services if: 1.) You want an HONEST assessment of your garage door situation. 2.) You DON'T want to be sold extra things that aren't necessary to resolve your issue. 3.) You want a FAIR price for the work being done. 4.) You want a commitment to EXCELLENCE and PROFESSIONALISM from the person you have asked for help."

"I signed the contract 10/23/19 with an expected pick up date by the end of the month. Heard on 10/30 that the transport had broken down and needed repairs. Talked to contact on 10/31 and reviewed alternative arrangements. Second transport option bailed out due to an emergency. Third option discussed. 11/05. I followed up and was told a driver was on the way. Pickup occurred 11/7 and delivery was 11/12. I paid extra for door to door service, but the transport could not navigate the residential streets, so pickup was in a mall parking lot. For the money paid, things could have gone more smoothly. Communication was okay, but given the starts and stops more wold have been better."
