"Cumberland Valley did a wonderful job trimming four of our very large trees. First, they laid down some very large lawn mats to prevent their machinery from damaging our yard. The four guys knew exactly what to do and got right to work. I spoke to them several times, and they were very professional. They made sure that I was satisfied before they stopped. They did a magnificent job of cleaning up, as well. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs tree work done. "

"The overall delivery of the planting and hardscape was good. A couple plants were obviously dead when planted so I had to call them to come back out to replant - which they did. I would have preferred they just didn't make it my problem in the first place. They also put in lighting and one of the lights still doesn't work. I already had one manager come out to check the lights and since I was not home (on a day he decided to show up that was not what we agreed to) - he was unable to confirm it doesn't work. Still haven't heard back from him. The overall project wasn't handled very seamlessly and customer service was very choppy. They do address issues when I have reached out to them, but it is a bit of a hassle. The only reason I would rehire them is that they guarantee their plants and frankly I am too lazy to find another landscaper."

"Initially, I contacted Evergreen because our most recently used local tree service failed to return our call after the storm hit. Craig DeLozier came out and estimated the job, and after a few days we committed to them and got on their schedule. Initially, they said they could not get to us until July 30, which meant quite a long wait. Then on the 25th Craig called to say that due to a cancellation, they could do the job that day.
Craig arrived with two trucks, 4 helpers and a high-powered chipper. The helpers worked industriously to clean up the debris while Craig climbed the trees. Because the damage was so severe, we worked closely together in deciding how best to salvage what was left. In the process, I asked Craig to do some extra work up in one of the trees, which he did willingly. He and I agreed that there might be some addition to his initial estimate as a result, a prospect that I was comfortable with because I felt the initial estimate had been very reasonable, and because I was impressed with the energy and demeanor of the entire crew.
The whole job was handled quickly and with care. They raked and disposed of all leaves, twigs and other debris, leaving only sawdust and brown grass where the debris piles had been. Larger wood was neatly cut into fireplace lengths and piled for me to move later. The increase in our invoice from the estimate was $50, an amount that I thought was entirely reasonable. Throughout the job, Craig emphasized their desire to have a happy customer, and it wasn't just talk. He even took extra time to blow sawdust off our cars (which he, not I, had noticed) and to blow off our walks and driveway before leaving.
As far as I'm concerned, we've found our tree service. Craig and I have discussed a multi-year program to re-shape and salvage the two old maples by gradually reducing their spread and encouraging new growth in their damaged centers. I will have confidence in entrusting this work to them, beginning this winter."
