"Not good, tech said the generator was out of code due to location, did not perform services. He told me office would be in touch they scheduled a quote bid for 9/23/2020 many weeks after tech was here, so after bid it will be one to two weeks before relocation of generator and service. Process is taking way to long I was willing to advance pay if they brought materials on 9/23 and complete proper install. It’s Hurricane season. They also billed me for the maintenance which he could not do because he said it was out of. Code."

"It was a great experience! Earl and Felix came out on time and were very professional. They did what they said they were going to do and the price never changed. I will use 5 Star Electrical Solutions for all of my electrical projects from now on. I have also recommended they to my family members!"

"I highly recommended this company. The owner called me prior to my appointment To let me know that he was on the way, and if it was OK if he arrived 15 minutes early. He was very professional, very clean, and very polite. He reviewed all the work that he had done with me To ensure that I understood and approved of the work. He cleaned the areas very good. I was able to make my payment very easily. I will recommend and use this company again."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Charleston, SC

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
