"I called yesterday to inquire about moving interior furniture and they were able to get me into the schedule today. The 'movers' were efficient, careful and friendly. The customer service via text was informative regarding pricing & communication. Very pleased with the entire process and appreciate the help."

"Stay as far away from Wayflower as you possibly can (we used them because of a broker, which is another HUGE mistake). From start to finish, Wayflower is unprofessional, unethical, lazy, and an absolute disaster. As shady a mover as we have ever experienced. They demanded cash after loading all our goods on their truck. But they refused to provide a bill of lading. Instead, they had my wife sign a blank BOL, then provided a fraudulent, filled out BOL the next day. No box counts. No bar codes. No knowing if all of our stuff was even on the truck. Upon arrival, they demanded the other half of payment in cash before they would unload anything. And demanded it with only half the load on premise. When they opened the trucks, the majority of boxes ( and plastic bins) were crushed or broken or both. No care at all for our belongings. The two-man crew, neither of whom spoke English, refused to reassemble furniture (despite the contract) and even tried to pretend to do so. The our one be"

"National Van Lines only sent us two guys to pickup our items. The delivery was much better with three guys. However, they packed our items pretty tight and things got crush a bit. So, the service was okay for the money we paid. "

"Colby & Justin did an amazing job on my move. I had a 3 bedroom home with a lot of fragile and antique items that needed proper moving. These guys showed up on time, got the job done within a great time and they were way more reasonable than anywhere else I called. What I really loved is that I was able to pay less than these major companies quoted me and got amazing customer service in addition to all of my items being handled with care! I will definitely be using Allgood Movers going forward and I highly recommend 10/10!"

"It started off fine but rocky. They went to wrong side of the building twice which I had to call them and walk around the complex to find them. Then they started the move which I showed them everything that was being moved and dismounted ahead of time before we began. They said okay, signed paperwork and then he went downstairs to get his helped ( Fred) to help with the move. They started asking me questions about why am i moving in the same complex. I let them know it was domestic situation which i didn t think I had to tell them but it s fine. They then finished the moving the couch and bed and mattress which the tv being dismounted was forgotten. Then once when he realized we went back and I let them know of the time and they told me don t worry about it we got you . Once it was time to pay and I saw on the time it said 9:55am I said that was incorrect because I called them at 10:02 and they still were at the wrong place which they didn t get to the correct place until 10:15am. I let him know of this and that is when he started raising his voice at me telling me this is what it is. I called fox moving and storage customer service and let them know of this correction. He asked if he could take my phone and talk to him manager. His manager and him then exchanged words and then once he got off the phone with him he started yelling at me telling that this is BS (bullshit) I don t have to move your little bit of (shit) and cussing at me. I told him I m a grown women and why are cursing at me. He said I m not cursing at you right after cursing at me. Then he stated he would go to my other apartment and throw my little bit of shit out and said that if I need a couple dollars he can give it to me and that I didn t have any money. Which I just wanted the time corrected. I told him I m calling corporate. He told me he doesn t give a damn about corporate and he doesn t care about cataria which is their representative of Fox storage . Then I called again and his manager called him and said to just fix the time she has timestamps of when she called you and then he and his manager were going back and forth. Finally he changed the quote and then told me it treating him like a sissy which that part I have recorded as well. I didn t feel safe at the moment with two men in there and he yelling and cursing at me so I just paid so he can leave . Then he attempted to throw the receipt at me but I held o my hand so I can take it."

FAQs for out-of-state moving service projects in Chattanooga, TN

How much money you need to live comfortably in Hawaii varies based on your housing preferences, transportation needs, and lifestyle. Many residents find ways to manage on moderate incomes by choosing less touristy neighborhoods and adapting to local living patterns. Creating a detailed budget that accounts for housing, transportation, groceries, and utilities provides a clearer picture of your specific requirements.

Living in Hawaii on $3,000 monthly is possible with careful budgeting and lifestyle adjustments. Success largely depends on housing costs, which vary significantly between neighborhoods and islands. Many residents find shared living arrangements or smaller accommodations in less expensive areas help manage expenses. Prioritizing necessities, limiting dining out, and embracing local recreational options that don't require significant spending can help stretch your monthly budget while still enjoying island living.

The hidden costs of moving to Hawaii often include unexpected shipping surcharges, agricultural inspection fees, and initial setup expenses. Many newcomers are surprised by delivery access fees for difficult locations, temporary accommodation needs while waiting for household goods, and higher utility deposits. Island-specific expenses like specialized pest control services and humidity-resistant storage solutions may also become necessary. Building a contingency fund of 10 to 15% above your estimated moving budget helps accommodate these unforeseen expenses.

How long it takes to ship household goods to Hawaii depends primarily on your chosen shipping method and departure location. Standard ocean freight often requires three to six weeks from mainland ports, with shared containers sometimes taking longer due to consolidation schedules. Air shipping dramatically reduces transit time to days rather than weeks, but at significantly higher cost. Many residents adopt a hybrid approach, sending essential items by air while allowing bulk possessions to follow by sea.

Whether you need special permits to move to Hawaii depends on the possessions you’re bringing. While American citizens don't need immigration documentation, certain items face strict regulation. Agricultural products, plants, and some animals require special permits or inspection certificates. Vehicle importation requires specific documentation and potential emissions testing. Large shipping containers may need delivery permits in certain residential areas. Consulting with transportation specialists familiar with Hawaii's requirements helps avoid compliance issues.

The items you’re prohibited from shipping to Hawaii include numerous plants, seeds, and fresh produce that might introduce invasive species to the islands' delicate ecosystem. Certain animals face strict prohibition, particularly snakes and other potential invasive species. Hazardous materials, firearms without proper documentation, and controlled substances cannot be shipped. Review current prohibited items lists from shipping companies and Hawaii's Department of Agriculture before packing, as regulations can change, and violations may result in significant penalties.
