"This company does not have a solid understanding of the Generac generators they install. I had the owner out last week to repair ours that is less than 3 years old. He left saying all was good, and on the following Saturday it failed to start for it’s weekly exercise run just as it had before he “repaired” it. Same exact error code. Ask him about Generac’s MobileLink app and he doesn’t have a clue. When I told him it failed again he said that maybe his battery tester was bad and that batteries are not included under the warranty. He said I should buy a new battery. I did, for $190, and it did not solve the problem. When I asked about their covering the cost of the battery, he asked “why should I?”. Steer clear!"

I was having trouble with my landscape lights and the person on the phone coached me through a few things to check before they sent someone out, and we were able to fix it right on the spot. Very nice of them as it got my problem fixed and I didn't have to pay $125+ just to have someone come out to make an easy fix. Another company I called was going to charge me $199 just to come look at it and then pay more to fix it. Plus the woman on the phone was so nice and friendly and genuinely wanted to help me. In the future when I do need work done, because of this wonderful experience Midwest Lightscapes will definitely be the people I call!"

"We had to have our house rewired and an electrician referred us to JD Electric. They came right out and gave us an estimate to rewire our whole house due to our house having aluminum wiring that showed signs of burning, scorching, etc They began the next day and Heyden and Elijah came out and began the work. They were later joined by Mike. All three of them did a great job, were very easy to work with, friendly and hard working. John, the owner called me to see how the work was going and if I had any issues. There were none because all of them were outstanding to deal with. They were all a blessing to my family for the way they worked and their professionalism and personalities. My house now has safe wiring and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them and have them do any future work for me and my family. I wish I could give them 10 stars out of five. They showed up when they said they would, kept us informed of the progress, etc. I cannot say enough good things to really do them justice. "

"The Smart Home features they installed, such as thermostat and door locks, etc. do not always work. For example, the Honeywell thermostat can no longer be operated from our phones and is difficult to install. Remote door locks are also unpredictable."

"Terrible service and customer service. The technician didn't even bother to check the 3 sprinkler zones in my backyard when he came out to "turn on" my sprinkler system, which I actually turned on. I was charged full price for that service call even though the work was only half done. He also repaired the water faucet on the side of my house, and then lied about the time spent actually performing the work, and of course said the sprinklers that he did actually check needed to be replaced. Judy, the office assistant, was very deceptive in explaining the charges to me prior to scheduling the appointment, and when questioned about being overcharged (saying two people worked on replacing an item for 30 minutes when only one of them worked on it for about 15 minutes. The other guy just stood there and watched, as he was only an apprentice) she adjusted my invoice to a somewhat more reasonable price (but still overpriced) to reflect the actual labor performed after much back and forth. Judy even admitted that she overcharged me when I had my sprinkler winterization done earlier in the year because it was out of season. I had forgotten to have the sprinklers blown out until January. Then Judy threatened to send me to collections because I disputed paying the full sprinkler turn on charge when only half of the sprinklers were actually inspected. I will NEVER use them again, and I suggest no one else does either. It's just mediocre deceptive garbage of a company that is managed by idiots and thieves."

"John Toth has been helping us with our landscaping needs for at least 3 years. He is ALWAYS prompt, polite, professional, and hard-working. He usually has a small crew working with him, under close supervision. He always works with them. The jobs he has done for us are varied: spring clean-up; spreads mulch every year, has trimmed trees and shrubs; installed a post for bird feeders; completely removed an unwanted garden bed and oversewed it with lush grass; transplanted many plants; we were grateful to find he had unexpectedly and independently relocated many large, heavy rocks from the front yard to border a garden in the back of our house. John stops by often to check on the progress of his projects when appropriate. He is time efficient and always prompt. I'm not including approximate cost of service, because his jobs have been so varied, over time, but we have not found his prices to be unreasonable at all."
