"Mitch and his team did a great job on my kitchen remodel job. Mitch and I agreed on a statement of work for the effort and Mitch did the work for a very fair price and in an expedient fashion. Work completed included full gut, removal of appliances, installation of new cabinets, appliances, painting, electrical work (under cabinet lighting and overhead lighting) and backsplash tiling. I recommend Mitch for kitchen and bath remodeling."

"I had a very negative and unprofessional experience with Horizon Services. I signed a contract with them. When it was time to service my AC unit, they cancelled my appointment and rescheduled it, only to cancel and reschedule it again, and yet they did it again! They cancelled my AC maintenance appointment three times over nearly a month period. The scheduler kept cancelling the appointment a few minutes before the appointment time, which was very inconvenient for me because I had to be home every time they scheduled. After the third cancellation, I asked the scheduler to escalate the case to a supervisor which he told me he did. But the Horizon customer service manager never called me back. I called again and escalated again, still the Horizon customer service manager never called me back. I called at least twice after that and was told that my case was already escalated to a female manager, but still she never called me back. All I got from the Horizon phone operators was repeated empty promises that “someone will call you back in 12 hours, etc.” But they never called back to commit to either providing the AC maintenance service or cancelling my contract and refunding my money in full. What makes matters worse is that none of the Horizon Services phone operators who answered my repeated calls was able to transfer me to a manager to speak with in real time. These operators said that they could only “email the senior manager or the concern department”. What a disappointment, and what a lousy excuse to ignore a contracted customer. I truly regret hiring Horizon Service and signing a contract with them and I will never recommend them to anyone. The failure by Horizon Services to provide the AC maintenance per the contractual agreement (it’s now mid-summer and my aging AC unit was not serviced to date) and the fact that their customer service manager never bothered to respond to my repeated phone complaints speak volumes about the unprofessional way they have treated me."

"We could not be happier with choosing Unique Indoor Comfort for our new HVAC system. We found this company by being referred by a client of my husbands. The original duct work in our house was extremely undersized, over working our unit and not creating good airflow to reach the third floor of our town home. Reni came out to our home, and took the time to explain to me options with Unique to really make our new HVAC unit/system efficient and comfortable temperatures in our house. I really appreciated his kindness and patience with me with all my questions. Unique was able to get us scheduled within a week or finalizing the contract, just in time in end of April when the first heat wave hit. It has been almost two months now since Henry and Matt installed our new HVAC system (they both were friendly and did an excellent job) and we are truly enjoying it. With a new baby in the house, it is a relief to have this new unit and ability to cool down our house quickly and efficiently. I know it is a lot interviewing and getting quotes from different HVAC companies - it is a big investment. This company truly stood out for us and were able to work with our budget and our needs for our home. They were the only company who proposed how we could add an additional vent to allow more airflow, and to redo the duct work to the proper sizing for our house and up to code. "I scheduled an appointment with them in response to their ad to flush a hot water tank for $49, no trip charge or add on expenses. After scheduling and in advance of the appointment I called for details regarding the service to be provided at this very hard to believe price. No matter what time of day I called I was always routed to an answering service that only scheduled appointments. Each time they said they would reach out to a manager to get my questions answered. After 3 calls and an email without a response, I cancelled my appointment."

"Things have to be pretty bad for me to leave a negative review. I hate to do it but in this case it’s necessary. Frank came over to look at my fridge and had an extremely thick accent. Not a complaint but there was a large language barrier to begin with. When he came into my house, he said he was from house. Which I now realize he meant house appliance repair but even with the accent I know he didn’t say anything after house. Now I had called several people from houzz and Angie’s list. I KNEW he was hired From angi because I called his company purely because there was a special offer/promotion for the service charge. I said to him oh I thought I got your number from Angie’s list. Frank told me they were the same thing. I asked him directly if Angie’s list and house were the same thing. He said yes. Ok, I chalked it up to maybe he didn’t understand my English. It’s important to note that when I made the appointment I mentioned the promotional discount on Angie. She said to tell Frank when he showed up. Then after he was in my house, Frank said he would not honor the discount. He said he knew nothing about it. Even after I showed it to him on the website he still would not lower the very expensive service charge just to enter my house. So I told him water was laying under the bottom ice drawer and freezing. He seemed to know what the problem was without even looking at it but when opening the fridge, he mentioned the seal should be replaced. But he also added …in the future. That it was not necessary right now. Then he told me he’d be back in a few days when the parts came in. He started to walk to my front door. I had to ask him what parts he was ordering. Somehow, without any discussion, he also put in an order for the refrigerator seal. I asked him how much the Parts were. He gave me a serious attitude like he was bothered by a stupid question. I told him I was not going to OK any charges until I had that information. He said he wasn’t sure of the prices and From what I could understand, I heard he was going to just tack it on the credit card that I had to give them when I made the appointment. He was very rude and seemed frustrated that I couldn’t understand him. I was very polite about it but I did have to ask him to repeat himself multiple times. I asked him to send me an estimate for the repair and we could possibly make an appointment after I saw the price. Frank told me he would send it that night. I did not receive it. Then theres the phone number weirdness. I was Repeatedly given a different telephone number every time I tried to contact them. I would call a number, had to leave a message, and then someone would call me back from a different number. On their message, they gave me a different number. I found this all to be very shady. They called me once after that and just left a message letting me know they took the liberty of making an appointment for me. It was my machine so I had no conversation with them. I called them back the day of the appt. and then was told the part wasn’t even in. So the service guy couldn’t make the appointment that they had scheduled for me without my consent because the parts (I never approved because I never received the estimate) did not come in and they never even called to let me know. Then I never heard from them again. I called several times. They never called me back. I finally gave up. I was so aggravated and there was/is absolutely no trust with this person or his business. So I had to pay $189 for him to come out just to look at my fridge seals that was not even why I called him. I later saw his website where it specifically states that they like to talk to people first and try to troubleshoot over the phone so as to save customers from having to pay that service charge. I was not offered this service! Considering that when he came in to my house, he didn’t need to even look at the freezer added to the fact i showed him the offer for discount service charge, I really don’t understand why I was charged so much. I ended up calling another company and it was $106 for them to come out and repair the problem. The whole encounter, from beginning to end, was a nightmare. It would’ve still been bad if I hadn’t had to shell out so much money. I won’t even use Angie anymore. That’s how bad the experience was."

Because it seems to be the norm I shouldn't be shocked, I wish I could speak on their work but I can't because they pulled a no call no show. He scheduled me between 2pm-5pm so I canceled my afternoon so I could be home and they pulled this mess. Never again!!!"
