"I cannot believe how great of an experience this was. Humberto came on time to the minute for two estimates but more importantly when he reported for the job. Him and his team did everything he promised and more. It was a very tough job that he did with ease removing multiple trees that were already downed clearing many other downed trees and downing two difficult trees near my house. I actually chose to give him more than he asked for the job because of how professional he was! I anticipate using him multiple times in the near future!!!!"

"Friendly, efficient, hardworking guys. I called them on Friday to remove several trees that had fallen across a creek on my lot and cut down others. I got an estimate within two hours, the workers cut down trees and cut up those that had fallen that day. The next morning they moved all the wood into low spots. Before and after the work we talked to clarify what work was to be done. Totally satisfied. Would recommend without reservation."

"Miguel Valle and his crew arrived exactly when he said they would, pulled there chipper into our yard, trimmed the necessary limbs & branches from our maple tree, and cleaned up all the debris just as he said they would. A neighbor requested that he come around to give them an estimate and he went straight there when he left our yard. I was very pleased with their work. They were here less than 2 hours and did a great job."

"Can't say enough good things about our experience with KEVIN'S TREE SERVICE and his entire crew! They did everything as promised and left the area completely clean and neat. All work was performed professionally. The job included -5- trees, -2- of which were massive oak trees in perilous positions near our home, neighbor's homes, power lines, and established landscaping/hedges. They used a crane service and managed the whole process safely and respectfully to all concerned. All stumps were removed as well. When completed, it was as if they were never there! We will use Kevin's Tree Service again and are recommending him to family and friends!"

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Chester, VA

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
