"Fantastic company. This is the second time we used them and will not hesitate to use them again when the need arises. They do a top notch job with clean-up as well. If the tree wasn't missing one wouldn't know that they had been here. Thank you so much for all your hard work - AGAIN!!"

"This is the second job we've used Riggs Landscaping for and I can't say enough about how impressed I am with his work. The first job was the installation of pavers from the driveway and onto the front steps, replacing the 'builder' cement. His experience shows, from the suggestions and implementation of sloping the terrain away from the foundation of the house which completely eliminated any water leakage which was occurring in the basement. I constantly receive compliments on how beautiful the pavers look! This job entailed the installation of a path from the front of the house to the back deck stairs. Most of the area was on a hill so it meant leveling it, putting in pressure treated lumber to build up the sides and burying the drain spouts. Perfect again! He cleans up, he's on time, and just an honest nice man. I would HIGHLY recommend him!"

"Wonderfully! Despite the monsoon-like weather in early November 2018, FINE's crew came in and found a way to complete the job in a little more than two days. Mike and his sales team were friendly and upfront about the job, we chose the best solution for the task at hand, and top-quality materials and installation practices were used to ensure a long life for the three-board paddock fence with wire-mesh pet fencing that was installed. The installation crew was efficient and on-task, even working in the rain to get the job done. Very pleased with the process and the outcome."

"Adam and his crew did an excellent job in removing old and broken fences and replaced them with a new fence. Once completed Adam made sure I was satisfied with the work before he left. I had hired Adam and his company to do several jobs around my house and will continue to use them."

"The pool install was timely considering the pandemic circumstances. I think more explanation could have been provided for some of the material choices, but overall the pool turned out beautifully."

"In February/March I received three estimates from three landscapers bidding on <em>exactly the same work</em>.  Ground Envy (Mike Mathias) won the job because his price was in the middle of the three estimates and his professionalism and knowledge of the work to be done impressed me positively.   He showed up on time for the initial meeting and sent me a detailed estimate of the work to be completed.  On demolition day,  Mike and Kyle removed all of the 20 year old, overgrown, neglected trees and bushes on the first day of the job.  As we waited for the weather to warm a bit and the snow to stop,  installation of the new plants occurred in early April of 2015.  Mike's plan and execution of the plan was excellent.  We chose some of the plants with his guidance on what would and would not work in our climate.  Overall, we are very pleased with a job well done. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Chewsville, MD

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
