"NO WORK was completed by this company for me, however, I had List something. This Review is about the character of the owner Gene. A quick, heartfelt thank you to a genuinely kind human who paid it forward this past Sunday at breakfast. I’m in Georgia visiting a relative, and after church we decided food was exactly what we needed. The restaurant was busy, but there happened to be one single seat left at the counter next to us. A gentleman took it and quickly proved he wasn’t a stranger for long. He clearly knew the waitstaff — lots of joking and easy conversation — and we ended up chatting right along with him. He finished before we did, quietly paid our bill, and wished us a good day. Such a simple gesture, and yet it meant so much. We learned he owns Acton Home Solutions in Abbeville, Alabama — and based on our brief encounter, he’s full of kindness. Sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. (Well… scholar, we can’t fully confirm since we didn’t quiz you in trivia.) "

"Mr. Webb came out to do my estimate quickly after my initial request. I had some odd jobs around my house that I have been meaning to take care of. He charged me a flat, per day amount that I thought was very reasonable. I ordered the columns that needed to be replaced in front of my house and he told me that his crew would pick everything up from the store on the way over to do the work. <br /> It was the easiest process I have ever experienced with a service provider. He told me when they would be out, which was about 2 weeks from my initial contact ? very quick, in my opinion.  I also didn't even need to be home since everything was outside that needed to be repaired.  When I got home from work everything was complete and looked so good.  I was also provided all of the receipts for anything they had to go out and buy to finish the job, which I really appreciated.  The only not positive thing for me is that I wish I would have had an idea of how long each job would take.  When I got home early that day to check the progress, they were already finished.  There were a couple other minimal things I could have had them do (replace two lighting fixtures outside) if I would have known the time for completion on the other jobs would not take a full day, since I was paying a per-day rate.  However, as I?ve said, the rate was very reasonable, so I wasn?t too worried about it.  <br /> Overall, it was a very positive experience.  I already know that I will use them again for a later project and have recommended them to others.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

They were able to perform the services in a timely manner. They exceeded our expectations on the work that was completed. They were very professional. "Did an excellent job and their motto is "yes mam". They won't leave until you are satisfied. Went over and above to do a good job. I used a lot of color in my house and one room-Auburn Room- was white with chair rails and trim painted orange and blue. Excellent job for tedious work! Their work is excellent and they are trustworthy. When jay tells you he will be there at 8 he is there. Anytime I need something done I know who I will call. They were fair in their pricing and I highly recommend them."

"Just finished job today and it looks very good.  Company showed up on time and performed all work exactly as asked.  Josh helped answer all my questions and completed deck staining just like I wanted it.  He also helped repair and replace some boards on the deck. <br />"

"Mr. Hicks and his employee were on time and began work immediately upon arrival. All work was described during our initial meeting and paint colors provided. The colors he brought were correct and of excellent quality. We had gone over all previous paint job as well as obvious defects and Mr. hicks proceeded to correct and repair defects as well as sanding and prepping the walls and cabinets. This took several days as there was a tremendous amount of defects and poor workmanship from the prior owners painter. The job took a couple of days longer than anticipated due to circumstances beyond Mr. Hicks' control. The completed project is beautiful. There are no brush marks visible and the walls and cabinets are smooth and very elegant. The prior week to our paint job we had just had new very expensive Bamboo flooring installed. Mr. Hicks and his employee too great care in completely covering and protecting the floors. Although they were not needed as we had our own, they supplied "gliders" for furniture and appliances that needed to be moved to provide further protection. I was very impressed with their friendliness, professionalism and quality of work. Mr. Hicks takes great pride and care to ensure the customer receives the top quality work requested as well as a very reasonable price. I will definitely use his company in the future as well as recommend them to anyone needing quality, professional, conscientious contract work. <br />"
