"Wanted to finish attic space into bonus room in late 2009. RMB and one other contractor submitted bids and we wanted to get started around Thanksgiving. RMB and other contractor were very close in price. We went with RMB because they could start project sooner. Because of the holidays, it was difficult to get crew together. However the heat and air conditioning were installed in December. This was accomplished by extending ducts and vents from existing system. <br /> Bulk of project got underway in early Jan. 2010 and was completed by end of that month. We were quoted standard flooring but decided to go with bamboo. This increased cost about $1300 which felt was reasonable and otherwise was within budget. <br /> They were very good about cleanup each day and were on time and professional. <br /> Overall was pleased and would use again. <br /> Only thing I would recommend for improvement was put more detail in original quote. <br />"

"I conacted Mr. Olson to come with me to a visit to the property in order to give me an estimate for the rehab. He was extremely nice, He informed me he was a General Contractor by trade and during the conversation I could tell that he was very professional. We discussed the modification of the staircase in this townhouse. I wanted to change the direction on how the staircase went up to the 2nd floor. He informed my that he had been the project manager for Tuscany ( townhouse community) I was interested in purchasing. He advised me that he was very familiar with the construction and possible modifications that could be performed. <br /> Unfortunately after several attempts back and forth Mr. Olson and I could not get back into visit the property. At that time the owner had decided to be difficult and not allow showings. The owner eventually took the townhouse off the market. However, Mr. Olson was extremely helpful and patient with me as I tried to schedule (3 times showings). I scheduled and cancelled, rescheduled and cancelled 3 times. He never got impatient or told me I was wasting his time. <br /> I would definitely hire him to perform any renovations. He seemed very accommodating, very responsive and appeared to know a lot about construction. <br />"

"Barren is the best.  He is an honest tradesman who gives accurate estimates and follows through with top-notch work.  He has trusted sub-contractors who work with him for electrical, plumbing, etc.  Barren generally does a lot of the carpentry work required for projects himself, and he also does meticulous work with tiling.  He is terrific at keeping projects moving the way they should be.  Barren also is very willing to work with the homeowner to make changes to a plan if the homeowner decides to have something different done; he never is pushy about doing things "his way."  Barren is also quite creative and is able to come up with solutions in areas that might be insurmountable (or poorly carried out) to other contractors. <br /> Barren is always present in our home if he is using a sub-contractor -- in other words, he never leaves sub-contractors to their own devices.  In that regard, he gives his customers great peace of mind!!  Another area where he provides peace of mind is clean-up at the end of each day -- everything is swept, put in its place, protected and as neat as possible and ready for the next day's work to begin anew. <br /> We are more than pleased with the results of all of the projects Barren has done for us.   We have heard horror stories about other contractors and we are very happy that we can rely on Barren completely for any general construction or remodeling needs that we have."
