I asked if there was someone they might recommend, and Olivia checked with the owner of King Green, who recommended someone and said they'd pass my name, phone and address on to him. Three or four hours later, Olivia called me back to say that they had learned that their first recommendation doesn't service my area so she gave me the name of a second business to help me! "I have had multiple problems with my lawn since I purchased my home in 2010 (dead spots, improper grading/drainage). Though I employed another service to grade and install Zoysia sod, problems continued and worsened after the ice storm. My brother recommended that I find a professional lawn service to give my lawn regular TLC - he is a staunch DIY man so I knew he felt this was worth the money! I reviewed Angie's List and selected Scott's which I have been using for several months. It's too early to see results from the treatments but I expect that the results will be amazing when spring comes. 
I can speak to the service I have received from the staff as it has been flawless. I like that I receive an email and written copy of the personal treatment by the technician who treats my yard. It's not a lot of technical stuff, but a description that one would have in a conversation. Though I've never met him, it is reassuring to have a photo so that a homeowner could identify who is providing a service. I have had a couple of occasions to call the office, and each time the ladies were warm and helpful. It is a pleasure to work with people who are honest, dependable, knowledgeable and friendly. "I can't say enough good things about Focus Pest Management. They handle both our quarterly pest control and our lawn care (fertilization/weed treatment every other month, annual aeration and re-seeding). John is very thorough -- he is happy to look over any areas of concern with me and answers any questions I have. He's been handling our pest control for two years now, and there have been a couple times we spotted bugs in the house (to be expected based on where we live), and he came back out to re-treat, no questions asked, no charge for the visit. He also has taken our lawn from virtually all weeds to luscious and green in that same time -- our neighbors now joke that we are trying to start a golf course. His rates are very reasonable (actually less than what we were paying for a larger pest control company, especially when you factor in that Focus covers more pests and re-treats for free). John always asks for our feedback and is always looking to provide the best service possible. He's very polite, and I feel that he is very honest and concerned about his clients' satisfaction.
