"Making a decision on a contractor for a solar power installation is not an easy or comfortable decision given the investment involved and the relative unfamiliarity of the technology for most people. I used EnergySage to give me a number of quotes, all of which were from non-local companies, but it did give a comparison of pricing and equipment, so it was easy to eliminate those which were expensive or offering panels from less well known equipment manufacturers. I settled on American Array Solar and Roofing who offered Panasonic panels and Enphase inverters at a reasonable installation cost. I assumed there would be snags or hidden costs and I would need to have quotes from other companies but the process that American Array offered was simple, fast and efficient. When I needed some options, the costs were defined upfront and never changed at any time so in the end, there was just no need to try other companies. Communications with Kieran, Adam and Mary were very friendly and efficient. They were always fast in responding to questions. Installation was done very effectively and faster than anticipated. My original target installation date was given as July 18th but it was completed on June 28th. For the service, product and cost that they offer, I would not hesitate to recommend American Array Solar and Roofing."

"Chico Roofing Company completed three important jobs for me. My 20-year roof was at year 22 and needed to be replaced. I had been considering rain gutter covers for some time, and solar panels were part of my plan for the future. Chico Roofing Company was able to do all three of these tasks--new roof, rain gutter covers, and the addition of solar panels. In addition, I had some tubular skylights installed by them since they also offer that service. The delivery and clean-up of materials daily for all jobs was organized, systematic, and efficient. <br /> I could not be more pleased. The roofing crew was professional, friendly, and punctual. They explained what they were doing. In the original bid, they included a section of dry rot repair on the small section of the roof that I had pointed out. They noticed dry rot at the base of my chimney as they were roofing, and for a reasonable additional cost, repaired that. <br /> The solar panel array was designed for my house and thoughtfully addressed the shade trees on the property. The solar panel crew was just as focused and efficient. I am particularly pleased with the fact that if there is an issue with either the roof under the solar panels or the solar panels themselves, the same company covers it--and the company is local. And I have a warranty for both!"

"He was able to come quickly and do the job fast and clean. His clean up was amazing to watch. "Showed up as scheduled to provide me an estimate. Confirmed that the damage was caused by a leaking shower drain connection,which allowed water to permeate the surrounding subfloor. He also informed me the the drain size wasn't to code. Should be 2" not the existing 1 1/2" inch diameter. Gene provided my with three options with each option increasing in price. Explained the positives and negatives of each option without trying to hard sell me the highest option. I chose the mid level,which didn't include replacing the south facing wall between the bathroom and the bedroom. Gene replaced the the drain pipe with the 2" and installed a new drain/hub. Removed sections of damaged sub flooring- recovered the the whole floor with new subfloor to make it more level ( problem in trailer homes ). Installed new cushioned vinyl flooring and trim. The floor came out looking fabulous !!! My wife just loved it and I appreciated how smooth it looked. I have been in the park maintenance business for 30 years ( recently retired) and I can tell you that I have a lot of experience with both good and bad contractors. I'm happy to say Gene is a good guy who knows his business inside and out and will explain what he is doing without making you feel dumb. He has gained experience in modern mobile homes thru ownership. Most will appreciate no surprise cost increases and his friendly demeanor. He was a pleasure to work with and did what he said he would do when he said he was going to do it.. I know that sounds kind of basic, but you would be surprised how many contractors have problems just performing the basics..Thanks Gene for a job well done!!! <br /> <br />"
