"We purchased a 6 year old home with major roofing issues. Eason Roofing was hired to completely replace the existing aphalt shingles and metal roofing. To our amazement, the owner Frank Eason personally supervised the project each and every day. Cleanup daily was outstanding. Frank Eason's extensive experience came to light, as he examined and remedied all possible trouble spots on the roof. He personally took charge of the metal roofing and did the work himself. The new roof looks amazing and gives us peace of mind, since the job includes an extended warranty. My research also showed that Eason is a certified GAF Installer. Eason is my trusted source for all our roofing needs."

"I was extremely impressed both with the company's professionalism and timely communication.  Jerry Lanier was very courteous in his dealings with me.  We ended up using a different provider due to a pre-existing relationship with that provider.  However, Lanier Roofing is clearly a top-notch company, and I would highly recommend them for consideration for your future roofing needs. <br />"

"From the early stages it was a pleasure to work with Roof-M-All, and their entire team. Having several neighbors that also had roof damage from May 2019 hail storm, we noted Roof-M-All as one of the companies doing replacement work. We met Field Representative Beattie Mullikin, who we spoke with and worked together to coordinate one of the Roof-M-All team members to meet at our home, when our Field Inspector from our insurance company was coming to inspect our roof. Both parties climbed and reviewed the roof together, so it was a seamless process. Roof-M-All waited patiently (but did provide documents for us to begin our review/consideration) while our insurance company quickly reviewed the inspection report and proceeded with the approval. As soon as approved Beattie met with us to go over documents in detail, as well as brought out samples of shingle color options we were considering. The Production Manager, Chad, was attentive to scheduling our work, and did a good job, watching weather and actually being able to move us up one day when the weather patterns changed for the better. Over the two day process, Angel's crew that handled our roof, was punctual, professional, detailed in their work. The first night we noted that the Directv satellite had been knocked slightly off, and one of the crew members there later awaiting a ride, was quick to grab ladder, and climb up to work with me on resolving the issue. They did a great job on the roof, the downspout replacements and were fantastic in their clean up. Very thorough, and you would not have been able to tell (other then the new roof) that they had even been there for two days working. They really ensured they picked up every piece of material from the areas surrounding our home. Beattie did a great job on follow up near close of the second day, we walked the property, he asked all the right questions to make sure we were pleased with the process, and even gave some instructions for us to watch over upcoming days, make sure no issues arise, contact him after first rainstorm to ensure that all looked good, etc. We highly reccommend using Roof-M-All should you find yourself needing to replace your roof."

"The whole process went extremely smoothly. Alex Sanchez, the owner's son, was the foreman of the large crew. They arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently and were respectful of the property. Items were moved out of the range of falling shingles and debris, our new HVAC unit was covered, and large tarps were put down to catch everything. The new roof looks wonderful and I have no doubt of the quality of installation. As a final note, the clean up was excellent. I would even go so far as to say the crew left things better than when they arrived. We would absolutely recommend them to friends and family."

"Our roof and gutter service by Universal Home Solutions was exceptional. The presurvey was detailed, and work recommended was conservative at a reasonable price. No excessive or unnecessary work was suggested. The work crew showed up on time and were very professional. They worked quickly, did the roof and gutter repairs well, and cleaned up the work site. We have used this company for 7+ years and have never had a bad experience."

"I called GHC to look at a leak that had been created and supposedly fixed by a previous contractor. Jeff came in and I showed him the leak from the interior and told him the story. He quoted me a price to fix an improperly installed boot for a vent. The previous contractor installed boots incorrectly and caused a leak. The job was more involved when Jeff took a deeper look and it took longer than we both thought. Preparing myself I expected it would be more than what he quoted. He was extremely professional and kept his price to what he quoted. It has not rained since the repair but from what he explained to me, including showing me photographs, it looks very good. Kudos to GHC for doing the right thing and gaining a solid customer for future roof problems."

"They are busy, so it took longer than expected to get the work started once the estimate was done. But it was not time sensitive as the leak was minor and controlled with a bucket in the attic without a problem. So we were ok waiting and let them know that. Once the work got started it was clearly worth the wait. The guys doing the work were very considerate - making sure not to block anyone in, and keeping the area clean. The completed work is really excellent. There was some minor but visible structural repair needed, requiring matching a particular wood type/texture, and you can't distinguish the old work from the new when looking at it now. Great attention to detail, and clear communication of cost and options throughout. In the end the cost was right in line with the estimate, and this repair included a lot of unknowns, which speaks to their expertise. I wouldn't hesitate to contact Jeff Freeman for roof help in the future."

"I highly recommend Advanced Roofing and Exteriors. Rob Long has been terrific. I was introduced to Rob/Advanced Roofing and Exteriors by my realtor. We are new to the Lake Norman area, moving from out of state. Our roof had a leak after Florence, then another issue after Hurricane Michael. Rob went the extra mile to diagnosis the second issue and identified as a potential chimney cap leak. Diagnosing can be tricky and he left nothing up to chance. It could have done significant interior damage. Pricing was reasonable, but more importantly, service was delivered better than expected and very timely. An exceptional experience."

"After receiving several different quotes, Ace Roofing stood out as the most honest, reasonable one. All representatives were incredibly professional and the work was outstanding and done on time. They took the time to explain the options and process start to finish. Furthermore, they worked with us to fix our leaking skylight issue and were able to complete repairs on our separate garage roof. We are incredibly pleased with this company and would very highly recommend them to anyone."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Clover, SC

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
