"I contracted DeGain Masonry to do a paver patio in my back yard. The finished project turned out better than I could have ever expected… very precise and meticulous. Clint was quick to return my calls, started and finished the project when promised and was more than accommodating in every way. I am a particular customer with high expectations of those I hire. That being said, I would highly recommend DeGain Masonry."

"Yard Works does fantastic work. They are detail-oriented, thoughtful and easy to work with! We had them install a concrete paver patio for us among other tasks in our garden and we are very happy with how it turned out. We look forward to having them help us with future projects!"

"After the plants were installed, nobody came buy to check how they were doing or if we were satisfied. No follow up service was offered. The plants were almost all excellent and mainly well chosen for their location, but they were planted without new soil or fertilizer in the existing clay. If you want a good landscape plan and excellent specimens, then this a good choice. If you want a complete service with followup, then this not a good choice."

"Paul and his team did an excellent job.   We really had no idea what we wanted (other than to replace the existing landscaping - it was a home we bought recently and the landscaping was either dead or overgrown).   It was quite a large job - both front and back - and involved the removal of a number of large trees/shrubs - in excess of 75.   They then had to clean all of the beds, replace all of the plants and mulch the entire area.   He actually designed and came up with the concept of an "English" garden - incorporating a rose garden - and the job included some additonal trees, hardscape and sprinkler repair as well.    Paul did exactly what he quoted he was going to do - within the time frame he gave us.    We will definitely use him and his team again! <br />"

"He was friendly and very professional, explained what he would need to do and completed the work in a very timely manner. Upon talking with him I found out he also could do some repairs I needed done so he gave me an explanation of what material he would use, the cost for those and the repairs- and completed those while he was here. I am completely satisfied.amd would recommend him to anyone.. <br />"

"The work was done in several phases/contracts with the first one being the larger wall removal and replacement along with the tree removal. We were so pleased with the results and professionalism of the supervisor, landscape architect, and workers, we initiated additional contracts as the work progressed. The primary work was done during the summer of 2012, but an additional contract was completed in May 2013. A new project is being developed for later this year or early 2014. <br /> We are very happy with the results and would highly recommend their services. <br />"

"Sean did a great job; he is very personable, and presented a very fair quotation. We have subsequently hired him to perform lawn care and landscaping clean-up for the remainder of the season. <br /> Thanks for the help Sean! <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Cohoctah, MI

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
