"I had some older woodgrain kitchen cabinets.  Rick's schedule is busy, because he's good and in demand.  he arrived on time.  He masked that area and painted the cabinets with a gun.  He painted both inside and out.  It took two days and it came out perfect.  The cabinets look like new.  I would give Rick my highest recommendation. <br />"

"<strong> <p>I could not have been more pleased with a business.  What was done?  Well, here's the list:</p> <ol> <li>1.  Repaired all marred walls and fixed cracks and holes.</li> <li>2.  Covered everything to keep paint and primer off our belongings.</li> <li>3.  Sanded all rough areas to a smooth finish.</li> <li>4.  Professionally primed everything.</li> <li>5.  Professionally painted everything.</li> <li>6.  Cleaned up daily.</li> <li>7.  Removed all painting materials from our property when finished.</li> <li></li> </ol> <p>I cannot say enough about the excellent quality of the job which was done.  Changing the woodwork, doors, and stairway spindles from a dark brown to antique white was quite a job.  It took a few days, but it was worth the awesome results. </p> <p>The guys (painting crew & owner) were very accommodating to my husband and me.  If we saw something to fix, it was done.  They were always pleasant.  I would hire them again in a heartbeat if I ever need something else painted.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <blockquote> <blockquote> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> </blockquote> </blockquote></strong> <p><br /></p> <br />"

"I was not able to be present but from my post inspection the job looks very well done and except that the building looks better, very little signs they were present and willing to wait for me to be back to inspect the job before finishing payment."

"<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Our Kitchen was built with the house in 1950, Plywood frames and doors in 1950 it was new and looked good, not in 2014.When Glenn and his crew showed up we had the appliances gone, cupboards empty, the kitchen was completely empty. The new cabinets and appliances were staged in the garage. Glenn had the new floor in his truck. Day 1 the old cabinets and floor were tore out and the new  floor was  laid. Day 2 The back splash was put up. I and my wife were going to put up the backsplash, but I had broken my wrist and that made the challenges I had to overcome to do the job just too much. Glenn helped with a solution Formica used for the counter top would be used. It looked fantastic! The cabinets went up. Day 3 The counter top was brought in, Glenn and his crew custom made the counter top with our choice of color, a purplish Formica. All the appliances were installed, including the sink, faucet and garbage disposal. The job was done at 1600! As with any remodeling project their  are odd thing that come up. I misunderstood the need for some electrical issue. Due to earlier electrical issue I knew who to call, Tom Verano, Verano Electric, Wayland, MI Tom sent team member Mike over to a**** the situation and worked up a solution. If you have electrical problems their is only one electrician I will call that is Tom Verano, Verano Electrical. In summery Glenn and his crew worked together as a team, this was why they were able to finish in 3days! Glenn was helpful with suggestion yet left the decision up to us, the customer. Working with Glenn was a joy, like working with your favorite uncle, a friend , a real pro. He and his Crew communicated to resolve issue and always keeping us in the loop! If you want custom cabinets or out of the box, Moose Creek woodworks are the people to call. <br />"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Colon, MI

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
