"We made a verbal agreement for the project we needed done and the cost. Quinn said he would email the contract, which we never received. We hired him to dig out a great deal of grass that had grown into flower beds, and then to spread mulch into the beds. The grass was not dug out until my wife saw that this was not being done. Even after she pointed out the error, without argument, Quinn told his men to dig out the grass. This was done very poorly, and much grass was left and then covered with mulch. Quinn spread the mulch in an attractive manner. It really looks great. On the other hand we are very disappointed with this project, as he did not complete the project as we had hired him to do. His completion of the task of what we requested definitely did not agree with the task we hired him to do. We never would have agreed to pay such a high price for someone to just use a weed wacker to cut back the grass and weeds and leave the offending grasses and weeds and then cover them with mulch. Since we had no contract to review, we paid him his quote, which was quite high for the work involved . Additionally, we never received a receipt for the work done either."
