"I have worked with Abraham and Carlos for a number of years. They do our weekly maintenance and special projects such as replacing our old lawn with beautiful and hardy turf. They spread mulch, plant or move shrubs and trees, maintain and repair the sprinkler system and help with drainage issues. They are also doing my daughter's maintenance and helping with drainage issues. My husband and I enjoy working with this company and they are always polite and happy to help. We look forward to seeing them each week!"

"This is a very large lot with a large side yard that slopes down to a retaining wall, and a large front yard with grass and shrubs on a slope.   The back yard has a tall hedge and lawn.  Douglas Pineda came out to assess the job and give us an estimate.  Based on his Angies List standing, we accepted his bid.  Doug supervised his crew on Day One.  They came at 9 am and worked to after 7 Pm.  Day 2 was supervised by his father-in-law, and the work while satisfactory, could have used Douglas' critical eye and supervision.   Still, the end result was very good.   The property hasn't looked this good in years. <br /> Based on their performance over the two days, we also hired Ramos for twice monthly lawn mowing and pruning upkeep. <br />"

"Bob was very easy to work with, was prompt, courteous, and professional. He provided guidance and recommendations, but also incorporated our ideas very well into the plan. His crew was prompt, courteous, and very hardworking. They cleaned up the area at the end of each day (front and back of house)which was not easy in the rain and mud. At the completion of the job they replaced all areas of sod that had suffered wear and tear from the construction phase. He also counseled us on proper care of our new lawn and plantings. I would (and Have) recommend him without reservation. His pricing was fair and competitive."

I'm a carpenter by trade but a farmer at heart, I can figure out how to fix anything made with wood and I don't mind picking weeds either. I enjoy working on a variety of projects but I have supported my family as a carpenter.

"I had it done too late and the grass didn't come back in very well.  After talking to Joe, he said he'd come back and reseed the areas that didn't come in in early spring.  Overall it was a good experience.  I trust that Joe will be back <br />"

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Colton, OR

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
