"Do you want top quality work that is second to none? Do you want friendly customer service? Do you want workers to show up when they say they will? Then look no further than Overhead Construction. We had a water line break in our house with major damage. After a company did the remediation, we hired a contractor recommended by our insurance company. After 3 months of promises never kept, they pulled out. A second contractor did the same. I hired Overhead Construction to do a project on the exterior of our house unrelated to our water damage. I showed Jason our current dilemma. We discussed the work that had to be done. That conversation convinced me to hire Overhead Construction. My wife and I couldn't be any happier with our decision. The reconstruction was started within a week and is progressing without any delays. I wish we would have known about Overhead Construction in the beginning because we would be back in our house by now. "

"Doug had me send him pictures of my gate so that he could estimate the cost. However, we were both surprised at home much worse the damage was when he got here. Once he got started, he worked in some really awful heat to fix all of the issues that he encountered. When he was done, I accepted the fact that he was going to charge more given the additional issues he found. What I didn't expect was that I would have to argue with him that he wasn't charging enough! We finally agreed on a price that I still think was too low!! At any rate, I am very pleased with Doug's work and won't hesitate to make use of his skills in the future."

FAQs for wood fence repair projects in Columbia, SC

The time it takes to install a swimming pool fence varies depending on the project's complexity. A simple installation can be completed in about two hours. However, if your project involves concrete work, regrading, custom installations, or challenging terrain, it could take up to two full days. Each additional factor increases the labor and time needed to ensure your fence meets safety standards.

Yes, installing a lock on your pool gate enhances safety by preventing unauthorized access. A self-closing, self-latching gate with a key-lock mechanism provides strong protection, helping to keep children and pets safe. Securing your pool gate adds an extra layer of security and offers peace of mind when using the pool area.

A pool fence requires a specific height to secure the pool area. In most states, the fence must be 48 inches tall; some regulations require 60 inches for enhanced safety. Checking local building codes guarantees compliance with these height requirements. A taller fence strengthens protection and improves the overall security of your pool area, ensuring it meets stringent safety standards.

Mesh and tempered glass are among the safest pool fencing choices because their design and smooth surfaces make them resistant to climbing attempts. They provide consistent, rigid barriers that prevent unauthorized access to your pool area. These materials ensure optimal safety for children and pets. In addition, incorporating a pool safety net further enhances protection and addresses additional security concerns, ensuring that your pool remains a safe environment for all users.

Pool fencing requirements vary by local, state, and federal regulations. In most states, installing a pool fence is mandatory for safety and insurance purposes. Ask your pool fence pro for local regulations or check with your local planning department to understand the specific height and design requirements for your area. Complying with these regulations ensures legal compliance and enhances safety.
