"Don was punctual and professional as was his helper. He started the job very quickly and finished within the week despite having a lot of tasks to do. He even agreed to remove all the old carpeting and tack strips for a nominal cost as well as the previous home owners trash they left in the home. He removed a lot of wallpaper, repaired drywall holes and pet damage before painting with 2 - 3 coats of paint. My wife is very happy with the result. Don recommended and used Sherwin Williams paint which I was happy to see due to their quality, yet he didn't try to sell me on very expensive top of the line paint. We were on a very tight budget, Don saved us a lot of money blowing away the other bids and he did more work than the other bidders were willing to do. It was a great experience and I would definitely hire him again. <br />"

"August 31, 2020 I can't tell you how PLEASED I am to have picked Phillip Matthews from Angie's List. His company is called Elevation Contracting, out of Almont ,Michigan. Phillip is the Owner and Operator of this excellent company. I am 71 years old and widowed and live in my family's 170 year old Centennial farmhouse in Rochester Hills, Mi, With the last storm which brought the most damaging wind and rain it made an awful amount of damage to my roof and the cedar siding. Rain was coming down through my home in the dining room and making its way to my basement. I was horrified and scared. Being alone, I decided to go on Angie's List ( which I trust) and find someone who would come out and help repair my dear beloved farmhouse. I had four companies which were listed and I checked each one that I needed help. The only one I heard from immediately was Phillip Matthews from Elevation Contracting in Almont ,Mi. He was so kind and concerned and said he would be out there to quote and help me immediately. He came out and was the most professional, kind, compassionate, hard working man I have ever seen. He went on my roof and checked the damage and said don't worry I will get this taken care of for you. I wanted to cry. I had contractors before who I called out on different things which I needed help on and they were rude, cold and only cared about telling me how much all the would cost me. Phillip is so down to earth and really is a wonderful person. At 71, I can tell you his parents did a fabulous job raising him. I would recommend this gentleman at Elevation Contracting for ANY project you need completed and done correctly. I give this man the highest recommendation there is. I will use Phillip Matthews for ALL my home projects and have already recommended him to my family and friends. I am so thrilled there are still men out there in this business who will not try and cheat you, and do only what they have to and be gone. "Leo did an excellent job of painting my 3-car garage. The drywall tape needed to be re-mudded as the builder did the minimal amount, as usual. Leo did an amazing job of mudding, priming and painting the entire garage, including the ceiling. It turned out amazing. He is the only painter I will ever use. He takes pride in his work and is a perfectionist, and he is respectful of you and your house."

"We are so happy with the outcome of this project! We did our due diligence when looking for someone to do our exterior paint and stain our deck. Joe immediately had a great first impression, as he was knowledgeable, realistic, and trustworthy. The quote he gave us was very fair. The Modern Improvements team was courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and made it easy for us from start to finish. The actual work that was done was superb, and there was a meticulous attention to detail. Joe has a lot of great expertise and had some solid options to help us narrow down what we wanted. He was also a great communicator. The job was done nice and quick, but the team checked in with us daily to provide status updates. They walked the property with us at the end of each day to show us what was done and what would be addressed the next day. Jeremy’s carpentry skills were amazing and there was a lot of tedious work done. The paint job came out great as well. We have been getting so many compliments! "Unexpected delays; job is not complete yet. No Problems. After old cabinet and wall removal, we had an inspection and got a surprise. The inspector requested we remove all drywall from ceilings in 2 rooms, kitchen and adjoining room (not in the Plan!). Bruce was patient explaining what was next, why the extra work and cost had to be, and the impact it would have on his timeline. He was very fair and made us feel confident about the project, though the whole ordeal was a stressful thing to deal with. All of this has set our finish date back. Which gives me the chance to do another review. I intend to post a before and after photo if allowed. Bruce has given us fair pricing and is thorough in answering all of our questions. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and methodical. He's always patient, even with all of our change orders! I definitely want to hire him for other custom projects down the road. Photos included are original kitchen and pass-through that was removed. Tear out was ugly, so here's an up- to-date pic from today."

"Chris once again came out and gave me a price on doing our daughters bedroom.  We used this company about 3 years ago to pain out our main living areas --- again with CHRIS giving the price's.  We decided to go back to this company, even after getting other quotes that were LOWER in price. <br /> Why? <br /> CHRIS. <br /> He pointed out that the other people did NOT include the closet, or the bedroom doors.  That would of been EXTRA --- once the work started.  You know the kind ------ they are working on your home, and before you know it BOOM, here is a added cost for this, or for that!  It's HORRIBLE. <br /> However with this company you do NOT EXPERENCE THIS.  Chris comes in, gives you the GRAND TOTAL --- and covers each and every thing needed, INCLUDED nail holes, closets, doors, trim, YOU NAME IT -- they cover it! <br /> Chris is the reason we gave out there name & number to TWO of our friends -  that called, and indeed used ELYSIUM painting company.  Both friends called me back and LOVED Chris, and the painters he sent over. <br /> Ok, enough on the price & Chis - <br /> Tim.  He came out and got the room ready to be painted.  He took his time --- worked quite (almost too quite, I thought he had left a few times! lol  and then he primed out the room, painted the cealing, did the closet and trim work --- this took most of one day -- as it did not go by the hour -- I did not care.  The next day he came back out with the COLORS --- our daughter was so EXCITED to see her PURPLE room come to life.  Oh and it did!  It's BEAUTIFUL.  One very dark wall of purple --- then 3 lighter walls of matching purple.  The white trim just sets this room off for a very pretty room.  (we wish our bedroom looked this darn good!)  Tim was such a nice man --- he showed us the 'purple princess' room --------- he asked my daughter if it was 'good enough' ------- and would she need anything else?  She smiled big as she was looking, wide eyed (shes 6) and said, oh nooooo, it's BEAUTFIUL!!! He was smiling just as BIG as she was. <br /> He was PROUD of his craft - workmanship - as he should be.  Not one purple dot where white paint is --- no bleeding of colors at all. <br /> Elysium Painting Company is just a name --- but it's people like Chris --- and TIM that make it happen. <br /> Yes, I will use this company again.  They many not be the cheapest (in the middle I would say) but I can TRUST them.  That too me, moves mountains.  <br /> Ms. Bates <br />"
