"I really wish I were writing a review of work completed by Aqua Doc. But unfortunately, our project never even made it past the estimate phase. The customer service we have received from this company, from the president on down, has been disappointing at every turn.  Here is a timeline of events since the beginning of our interactions with the company. <br /> <br /> May 7: John Wilson, Jr, president of the company, visits our home, inspects our shoreline erosion issue and states that this is the type of work that his company does all the time. He took his time and explained how the process of bringing in clay and building a riprap wall would work, and told us an approximate timeline of when we could schedule the work and how long it would take. However, he said he would need about a week to calculate the precise amounts and costs of the materials and labor to give us an estimate for the project. We also wanted prices for constructing a dock at the same time.  <br /> <br /> May 14: This is the date John informed us that our estimate should be ready. No phone call or contact from the company. <br /> <br /> May 17: Still no contact from the company, so I called their customer service number and left a voicemail explaining the situation, and asked for someone to call back and let me know when our estimate would be available. <br /> <br /> May 22: Still no response from the company, so I call again and speak to a representative. She informs me that she had given the message to someone who would contact me when he had all the numbers. <br /> <br /> May 29: Still no response from the company, so my husband calls and asks to speak to the president of the company who had visited our house. We need an explanation for why the estimate is now 2 weeks overdue and why no one from the company will pick up a phone and tell us what is going on. The person answering the phone said she will pass along the message, but we have still never heard a word from them. <br /> <br /> The only reason we have continued to contact this company for the estimate is we don?t know very many companies who do this kind of work. I doubt we would work with them even if they finally returned our call and gave us the estimate. All John would have had to say, from the very first day we met him, is that this is a very busy time of year and it might take several weeks to get the estimate ready. Or, this job is a little small for us ? here is someone else who might be interested. Maybe make a phone call at some point and say ?we haven?t forgotten you ? we should be in touch in another week.? If ANYONE from this company had bothered to give us a return call and let us know they understood our frustration or explained the delay, we would have been placated. Instead, we are extremely frustrated, we have to begin our search for a contractor a month after we started looking to do the work, and we still don?t even have a rough estimate. We think the job would have cost in the $20000 range (but who knows, since we can?t get an estimate from the company?) <br /> <br /> Update 5/30: a secretary call to let us know the president is out of the office until Monday and won't be able to respond to our concerns right away. However, we've always been told that someone else is responsible for preparing the estimate. <br /> <br /> Update 6/5: John called back and explained that the company had recently been exceedingly busy and he apologized for the delay. He provided the estimate, which was close to the figure we anticipated, and was friendly and informative. I just don't know if I want to do business with a company who kept us in the dark for so long and had such poor communication. "

"Will is the man! We met a few times to discuss design ideas and a based on my very vague inputs, he put together two complete master plans for the entire lot. He also hired an excellent landscaping company to complete the work and checked in repeatedly during the process to ensure that everything was going according to plan. I am extremely pleased with the results -- a yard that was once an eyesore and a constant source of frustration is now quite beautiful and calming. Will's choices of plants and materials were perfect and they work together in the space exceptionally well. And the service he provided throughout the entire process was impeccable. Hugely recommended. <br />"

"After the buyers agreed to the repairs I let Sam know and one of his workers came out and had the repairs done perfectly the next day! It looked great and water drained off the patio into the yard which is what was needed. This was the biggest item I had to repair and Sam came in with a very affordable quote and turned what could have been a stressful experience into a pleasant one. The buyers were happy with the repairs and the sale of the house went through with no issues. If you need any paver patio installations or repairs I wouldn't use anyone else."

"I highly recommend using 9 Trees Landscape Construction to build or reconstruct your patio. Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. As you can imagine, they are very busy due to their craftsmanship and expertise in their design. This creates a lot of demand for their patios but I’m telling you that it’s definitely worth your wait! We are beyond happy with the way our patio turned out! Anthony, Indy, and Roberto were wonderful to work with! 9 Trees Landscape Construction are the experts when it comes to outdoor living spaces!"

"When they started the project, the concrete which was already cracked, seemed to be coming up pretty well.  When that was removed, they found a lot more gravel under the concrete than they anticipated so it was an additional time and expense to remove that.  The garage sill had to be repoured and they began installing the correct type of gravel and pounding down the base.  Being  April, it rained a lot in there and it slowed the progress as you can imagine.  Can't do much about the weather.  I also had some blocks on my garage foundation that were loose so they refilled the mortar to stabilize the foundation. This is when we found that the gutter drain pipes were broken and clogged.  They installed new piping and we cleaned out the remaining pipes before installing the pavers.  By having the "O" in the middle, it made for a lot more cuts and took some additional time but it was worth it.  They sealed the driveway and finally they installed the sod around the edges.  Along the way Jake had to deal with a major personal issue but handled it very well.  Jake and his crew did a very good job and handled all the little things that came up very professionally.  I don't know of any other contractor who would have worked with me the way they did.  In my opinion, they provided me with a great finished product and I would use them in the future. <br />"

"It went great! Joe and his team were always professional, on time, courteous, and the patio looks great! There is always yard damage with a project like this, but they repaired the damaged lawn by adding great sod! Would highly recommend!"

FAQs for water feature fountain or waterfall installation projects in Columbus, OH

Installing a drinking fountain costs between $500 and $1,000 for indoor models and an average of $3,000 for outdoor units, including installation. The cost depends on the design, materials, and professional labor involved, with service rates ranging from $45 to $200 per hour. Investing in a drinking fountain can enhance your space's functionality and aesthetic appeal.

A water fountain increases home resale value by elevating curb appeal and enhancing overall property aesthetics. A well-cared-for fountain that matches the home’s design and functions flawlessly boosts buyer confidence and market desirability. Routine maintenance and professional installation ensure proper performance, ensuring that your fountain benefits both daily enjoyment and long-term resale value.

Maintaining a fountain costs $25 to $50 per month for basic upkeep and $50 to $150 for professional deep cleaning or servicing. A fountain of any size requires routine draining, thorough cleaning of the pump, tubing, and surface, plus regular inspections for wear, algae, or mineral deposits. Annual maintenance and sealing further extend its lifespan and enhance its appearance.

How much power your water fountain uses depends on the pump’s size and operating schedule. Smaller fountains use less than 10 watts per day, while larger cascade pumps can require up to 1,000 watts. This translates to an average increase of around $25 per month on your electric bill.

Water fountain installation takes anywhere from a few hours to several days. The installation timeline depends on the fountain’s design, site preparation requirements, and the involvement of professional plumbing and electrical services. Prefabricated water features are set up in a few hours, while custom designs require additional structural and aesthetic modifications and take much longer.
