He also offered to provide/provided a handrail left over from a previous job. Gordon is a true craftsman, who takes genuine pride in his work. As such, he is currently in great demand. "Spoke with Doug when I made the first call a week ago. He seemed very pleasant. I asked about gutter cleaning and hanging a mirror inside the house. He said either he or his son would get back to me when they had time in their schedule. He mentioned he's on the west side and his son is on the east side of Madison, so whoever was closer would do the job.  <br /> Today, 11/17/15 I received a call from Doug's son. He didn't really seem like he was interested in doing the job. He said he could come out to do the gutters later this week, but he was going to be heading out of town and would have to see how the weather was holding up. I mentioned that I had a mirror to hang inside the house and wanted to know if he'd be interested in doing that. He said he had recently hurt his back.   <br /> After hearing the excuses, I excused him from the job. He seemed a bit relieved. I'm now on Angie's list looking for a new service provider. "Al was awesome to work with. Naturally, I had burned the vinyl siding in the FRONT right by the front door. Al patiently went around our house and found a section of vinyl siding that was the same size in an obscure area. He then pulled off the burned piece and swapped it out with the other piece, which was great, because of where it was, I was able to put up a trellis which completely hides the burned spot. Now the siding by our front door is perfect!!! Thanks Al !!!! Now my husband's not all crabby about the damaged siding and you did an excellent and fast job!!!"
