"My husband and I had several different companies come out to give us quotes for our fence. We were getting discouraged because we felt the quotes we were getting were made-up prices. We actually left the project alone and said, "We will continue to wait on God to bring the right company." A few months back, we explained to my sister it would be nice if we got our backyard fenced in by the summer. Well, she recommended Mr. Donnell the owner of Best Rate Fence. We did not reach out right away, but when we did, we knew this was the right company for the job. His customer service was top-notch. He returned our call right away and came out to home the next day. He was the only company that came out and walked our yard with a measuring tool. Making sure the measurements were correct and not guessing. The wood was ordered the next week, and the fence was installed the week after. The installers were quiet because we did not know they had arrived to install the fence. That is how professional his crew was, and they were well-mannered young men. Mr. Donnell then came to expect the installation making sure it was to our liking. Awesome customer service and quality of work. "Not well!! Would NOT recommend Kevin with McToolman! He was hired on a sub-contractor basis to install crown molding and used wrong nails (too long) that punctured holes in my AC freon line and a waterline. These were expensive repairs and he is claiming "no fault". Contractor and several others surveyed damaged and confirm he is at fault, plus their are clear pictures proving so. For someone that guarantee's his work, he is running from this "at fault" claim. Can only wonder how many other times this has happened. Look elsewhere for your service needs."

"Update to my 2018/2019 bathroom renovation - the tile they installed is now cracking and the grout is coming loose with many pieces falling out. This after being careful to seal and wipe after down after taking a shower. Having to remove all of it and redo. I initially gave a 5 star as looked good, but the quality of work was indeed sad in the end. Now looking to replace it after only 6 years. Highly disappointed."

We are new to the Lake Norman area, moving from out of state. Our roof had a leak after Florence, then another issue after Hurricane Michael. Rob went the extra mile to diagnosis the second issue and identified as a potential chimney cap leak. Diagnosing can be tricky and he left nothing up to chance. It could have done significant interior damage. Pricing was reasonable, but more importantly, service was delivered better than expected and very timely. An exceptional experience."
