After going through at least half a dozen painters who either didn't return calls, were a no-show for appointments, didn't want to take on the job, or provided an outrageous estimate, we finally got wise and went to Angie's List to look for a reputable painter. We found Jason. <br /> We have an older home built around 1940 with plaster walls, lots of built-ins and trim work. Jason promptly returned our call, arrived on time for scheduled appointments and provided a competitive quote for his services. Jason knows his trade and his quality of work and attention to detail shows it. He took an interest in our project and took the time to help us make good decisions. An example of this was the plaster walls that transitioned into the ceiling with a seamless curve. We believed we would need to have the walls and ceiling painted the same color which would have darkened the rooms considerably due to our color choices. Jason recommended we keep the ceilings a lighter color and convinced us he would be able to cut in a crisp line without resulting in awkward transition. The finished result looks great and we're so thankful we took his advice. <br /> Jason completed the work on time and the end result looks great. "As stated above I had Jim McDonnell Contracting paint all the exterior trim and wood on the outside house and garage. The employee sent out was David, he was always there when he said he would be. If there was ever a delay due to bad weather he would inform me right away. I am very pleased with the final outcome, I would definitely recommend Jim McDonnell Contracting, my house looks so much better since I called them."

"There were 3 painters, and they finished in 3 days. The living room and master bedroom have 17 foot ceilings and painting was done with ladders and not scaffold. There were two coats of paint applied. As this was a previously owned residence, there were many nail holes that were patched and painted. <br /> The were not the least expensive bid received, but based on the number of Angies list reviews, and the positive nature of all of them, decided on them. <br /> . <br /> They moved the furniture out of the way, and placed it back when done with the room <br /> .They were very professional, on time, and got right to work. <br /> We now have another contract with them to do additional painting at a future date <br />"
