"Very satisfied. I would call this company again for their complete service. A real person answered ( a very informed lady) when I called Sunday morning at 9:00 am. I am just glad the first company I called did not answer. I now have a drain tub under my new water heater. Stivers even worked out all details with Allstate. Shawn did it all. Thanks."

".As I stated above, Bruce solved the problem and saved me probably close to $250. <br /> When I called them on Friday I talked with David (I think)..He said he couldn't get somebody out until Monday and they would call to schedule a time...Sure enough they called in the morning and said Bruce would be out approx. 12 noon...Bruce called at approx. 11:45 and said he was on the way. When he repaired the faucet; he showed me and quot;exactlyand quot; what to do if it happened again which he said it probably would in maybe 5 years or so. He also showed me what he did as I observed him apply the torch and break things apart to replace what was bad. <br /> This is without a doubt, the and quot;bestand quot; experience I have ever had with a Plumbing Company since my old plumber retired last year..We had been using him for over 20 years as I hope we will continue using KIME just as long. <br /> I might also add that the only reason I picked KIME was from the reviews I looked at on Angie's List...Without that I would have probably paid over $250 for work that did not need to be done. I totally recommend KIME and Angie's List !!! <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

"Honest, trustworthy, fair. We really lucked out with this company. We have only been in town for about a year and don't really know any tradesmen. Wichita Plumbing Company will be the top of our list for plumbers. Chris came out on time, called first, listened intently to our needs and concerns. He promised an estimate the next day. We received the estimate that night! The estimate was clearly stated, broken down, and itemized. We didn't bother shopping around because the prices they quoted were fair and you cannot put a price on the feeling of trust and comfort that my wife an I had. They came out today to finish up the job. Every worker is in a clearly marked uniform, clean cut, professional, and courteous. The job, installed a whole house water filtration system (we are on a well) complete with water softener, installed a line to our ice maker, installed 2 new hose bibs that run off the well (not through the whole house filter). Chris went above and beyond and even installed a water filtration bypass in the event something goes wrong with the filter, he also had the foresight to order a water meter so that we can keep track of when it's time to change the filters. The bypass also makes it easier to change the filters! Ok so the ice maker line took a lot longer than originally planned, but guess what, the final price came in at Bid anyhow! I was totally prepared and ready to pay a few extra bucks."

"Very well, so far (knock wood} 3 others came out and never checked the coil for a leak. Simply recommended the outdoor and indoor be replaced. Dan's check the coil and that was where the leak was. This saved us between $3 and $4,000. So far so good. \"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Conway Springs, KS

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
