By contrast: the outfit that replaced the roof on our Dutch Colonial for the previous owners cut corners on the steep mansard slopes. As a result, the new roof which should have lasted 25 years, started failing in three. (I’ve been repairing drooping shingles ever since and have had to learn more about roofing than I ever envisioned or desired.) A few years back we hired a local company with an Angie’s List A-rating to re-shingle the problem slopes, but we had to let them go when we caught them taking the same shortcuts that caused the first roof to fail. Their excuse: the manufacturer’s instructions were excessive. (Yet these were the same instructions they had previously agreed to follow.) It’s worth noting that roofing product warranties are almost always dependent on installation consistent with manufacturer’s instructions. Nonetheless, it took several years to find another company that would agree in writing to do so at an uninflated price. (Unlike many of their competitors, Raindrop doesn’t gouge the homeowner for requesting standing-seam metal in addition to composite roofing.) Bottom line: next time you’re walking down a street in Portland, look for the abundant tell-tale signs of roof repairs – visible patches of replacement shingles. It’s perhaps not surprising that in this sustained building boom, quality installation at a fair price is hard to come by. I'm happy to report Raindrop is the welcome exception."

"Quick to initially make content and once hired were quite prompt in arriving at the job site. Personable and went right to work. I appreciated that as I do not live in Oregon; my sister occupies the house. It was nice to get something scheduled and completed in a short time. The 2 workers did a nice job of cleaning up afterwards. I would make one suggestion for the crew. It would be helpful for me at least to get an overview of what the project will look like once it gets done. It was a moss removal from my story and a half home. The majority of the work was accomplished using a moss killing spray which is going to take 2-3 months to eradicate moss from the roof. I expected more to have been scraped prior to the addition of the moss spray. A minor miscommunication for which I have at least half of the issue on me. That being said the moss is continuing its decline so the actual end result will be accomplished. Thanks guys."

I told him that the square footage was 1700 qs. ft.. He gave me a quote for Certainteed Mountain Ridge tile and left me with adequate material to help me make a choice, if I wanted an alternative. I liked his direct and professional approach. He did not however climb and inspect my roof before giving me a quote. I realize that would have been a lot more work but that also meant that he missed that I had 4 skylights that would need to be replaced. That was not a part of his quote. This is the reason I did not give him an A in my overall rating. I ended up going with another contractor for the job. I however wanted to leave a review for Felipe and All Roofing Eagle Construction because I was left with a favorable impression of him and his company. I appreciated the timely quote and the professional handling."
