"Description of Work: Hallman Roofing is owned by Mr. Hallman who is extremely nice and very honest. My mother needed a roof replacement on her home. She lives on a fixed income and so do I. I received about 4 estimates before making my final decision about which Roofing Company to use. I knew the estimates from the 4 companies seemed overpriced and some even tried to overcharge me for more sq footage than the roof actually was. The other roofing companies also added a lot of unnecessary charges for work that was not not needed or necessary for the type roof my mother had. I called Hallman Roofing and got Mr. Hallman. Mr. Hallman went to my mother’s home immediately and gave me his estimate. My suspicions were verified about the other 4 companies and their attempt to overcharge me for a small roof replacement. Mr. Hallman’s estimate was way below the other Roofing companies estimates. I knew he was an honest man. After receiving Mr. Hallman’s estimate, I showed him the details of one of the other estimates I had received from one of the companies. Mr. Hallman explained the details of the unnecessary charges from the other company; like billing for pitch; which my mother’s house doesn’t have. A week later; Mr. Hallman put the roof on and it looks great! I Couldn’t be happier with Hallman Roofing and especially Mr. Hallman’s honesty. Mr. Hallman made it affordable for me to get my mother a new Roof; especially given my financial situation. I would definitely use and recommend Hallman Roofing for your roofing needs. Honesty matters and Mr. Hallman is an honest man who showed concern and compassion for my mother’s situation. Thanks Mr. Hallman."

"I contacted SouthFace for an estimate on replacing the siding on my home, exterior painting and repair some rotted wood sections. Johnny contacted me and scheduled a time to come and provide an estimate in a timely manner. The estimate was competitive and they were willing to work with my timelines as we were having a pool installed and needed to wait until the pool builder was finished before beginning the siding job. Once I gave SouthFace the notification that I was ready to begin the work they had materials delivered within a couple days and the demo/repair began the following week. "Blair Remodeling replaced 26 of my old wooden double hung windows with Wincore vinyl windows. I first met with Craig Blair on April. He gave me a quote that same day. He was very patient and was definitely not in a hurry to leave, even though it was late in the day. He answered all of my questions. After I thought about it for a while he came back another afternoon to answer more questions and show the demo window unit to my wife. Again, very patient and in no hurry to be anywhere. Made down payment in April. He said they would install in early June. That is exactly what happened. The install took only three days. They started on a Wednesday and finished on a Friday. The install crew consisted of three guys. They were extremely polite and cleaned up their mess each day. There was only one major issue. There were streaks and smudges on every window. It looked like some kind of sealant that was not cleaned off during the manufacturing process. I met with the lead installer on Friday morning and pointed this out to him and asked that he clean the windows. He was very condescending and obviously did not want to clean the windows. He said he would but I knew he would not. I went back to work (my wife was home but said she would not enforce the window cleaning) The project was finished when I got home Friday afternoon. The windows looked great but . . . You guessed it. There were still streaks and smudges on all the windows. Not wanting to be a pain, I tried cleaning the windows myself. The sealant was very difficult to remove. It would not come off with glass cleaner alone. I decided this should definitely be Blair’s responsibility. I asked for a meeting with Criag Blair. We met the following week. He was very polite and patient. He agreed to have the windows cleaned and address a few other minor issues. It took a while, and to be fair, I was out of town for a week but we finally coordinated on having the windows cleaned. The crew that did the installation came back out. They came while I was at work. My wife was home but declined to be the inspector. They finished cleaning about 3 PM. They waited for me to get home at 4:30. We walked around and inspected all 26 windows. There were a few touch ups but for the most part they did a good job. In summary, I was very pleased and satisfied with the entire process. I will definitely use Blair Remodeling in for any future projects. Craig Blair is the best. I totally trust him and I know that he will do whatever is necessary to make sure I am satisfied. Hopefully, Blair will add cleaning the windows to their standard installation procedure."

They completed our roof in the time they said they would. He's very affordable and stood behind his work. He even got up on the roof and worked himself."

"We were really in need of a new roof, and my wife and I wanted to look at a new metal roof but weren't sure if it was in our price range. I had always been told that a metal roof was several thousands more than a conventional shingle roof. So I started checking roofing companies through Angie's list and had no problem finding several companies that were interested in replacing our roof for us. I did find a couple that even included quotes on metal roof as a another option along with their shingle roofs. We just wanted to look at all our options, and that is when I came across Seal-Tite out of Helena, Alabama. I contacted Jim Hoffine the owner to see if he traveled to north Jefferson county on roof installs. I had asked him if he could visit our home on a weekend and he had no problem doing so. Jim was able to come out on a Sunday afternoon and sit down with my wife and I and that is when he really surprised us with what his company could do. Jim explained everything in detail, basically gave us a step by step explanation of how a metal roof is installed and to dispel some of the things that you hear which are not true. Jim explained with only one layer of shingles on our roof, the procedure is to leave the shingles in place and of course to replace any rotten or damaged roofing board if detected before installing the metal roofing. That is when we decided to ask Jim to write up a contract and to schedule our install. I had also asked about the installing a membrane layer between the old shingles and the new metal roof. His crew showed early on a Tuesday morning which was not the best day weather wise, rain and strong winds were coming in that afternoon. They were able to install about half before stopping for the day due to bad weather. The next morning they were able to complete the job, and it looks great! One advantage to a metal roof install like mine is that your roof is not exposed to the elements of mother nature. My wife and I are very happy with the workmanship and the look of our new roof, and the price is very affordable."
