"I would love to thank Bayfront roofing for doing such a great job on my roof. Scott the owner came to our house to give estimate and show us different products we can go with for our roof replacement. We decided to go with the Tilcor stone coated steel product with ice & water shield underlayment. They did an awesome job with the install. Ashley and Samantha at the office were also wonderful with answering our questions and keeping us informed throughout the process. This was a big project so naturally we were anxious and John and Scott were very helpful if we had any worries or questions which made us feel better with their knowledge and fast response. I would definitely recommend Bayfront roofing for your roofing needs and will keep them in mind when we need to replace a roof with our rental property."

"I contacted Sola-lite and Greg came and gave me an estimate. As soon as the skylights arrived, Greg and Hurley came and installed the skylights. They were very professional and did an excellent job. Cody also assisted in the installation. They cleaned up when finished. I am very pleased with the installation. Would highly recommend!"

"I called them up and got a fast response with an estimate of the repair that needs to be done. Job was performed on the day that it was scheduled. By the way, these guys are busy...I contacted at least 5-6 roofing companies and only a couple responded. Other roofing companies doesn't want to deal with a small repair that I have but Berryman did and they did an excellent job....I will not hesitate to contact them again for any roofing job/repair.... <br />"

"WORK WAS DONE AS PROMISED.  THEY WERE ON TIME AND DID A WONDERFUL JOB OF CLEANING UP.  MR. BERRYMAN WAS VERY PATIENT ABOUT EXPLAINING TO ME WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE, I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF ROOFING CONSTRUCTION. NO PROBLEMS SINCE, THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE (AFTER DISCUSSION WITH OTHER SOURCES), AND HE DID NOT OFFER TO SELL ME A NEW ROOF.  <br>"

"QRS did an excellent job on my roof. Matt Terry is the best. He came to my door and said I needed new roof and that he could help me get it done. So I took the chance and trusted him and he was wonderful. He did all the work with State Farm and I just sat back. I got full replacement on roof, gutters and screens and Matt made that happen. All this was done just before Christmas, so I can relax and enjoy the holidays. Thanks again Matt and QRS.."

"We had a great experience with Texas State Roofing. Robert was great at explaining the process to us and working with our insurance carrier to get the claim covered. He took the time to (graciously) redirect us to a more appropriate shingle color for our home that we absolutely love! The roofers arrived at the time & date that we were told and finished the work in 1 day! I would definitely hire them again & refer them to anyone that needs roof repairs/replacement"

"Mike and Amber were very reliable. They completed the work in a timely manner, showed up on time (or called) and even threw in additional work not on the invoice. I would definitely hire them again in the future."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Corpus Christi, TX

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
