"We went all season last year with one whole line in our system broken.  I wasn't going to go through another season with it still not working.  I called Gabriel's on a Friday in the late afternoon.  Efron came out to give an estimate on Saturday.  The repair was done on Monday.  I was aware of a broken valve and one broken sprinkler head in one line.  In the process of the repair Efron found another broken sprinkler head in a separate line in the system.  He fixed all three problems in the same visit.  He did a great job.  The system works like a charm.  Great guy to work with.  He's very helpful, very friendly."

"It went...OK. For the money, we expected a lot more. In the end, we were left with paver dust all over our landscaping and garage door, some lights there were haphazardly installed and fell over in a strong wind, and about 15'x15' of our backyard grass destroyed. For the price we paid, this wasn't acceptable. They also told us when we were all done that we'd need to find an electrician to connect the transformer for the lights, and then they left. Overall, at the price point, we felt they left the job just good enough to walk away. Throughout the project we had to correct a number of things, from the step height onto the patio, to the quality of the cuts on the pavers they installed. It was nearly impossible to communicate with the crew they sent (no english speakers), and they seemed to sub-contract the work to a team with another company's name on their trucks. I think we ended up with well installed pavers, but the collateral damage and the process to get there weren't great. Especially at the price point. I would look elsewhere and get more competitive quotes on our next project (and we're going to do the front of the house next). I also would get them to commit to really *finishing* the job well. Don't leave paver/concrete dust all over the place. Don't leave my grass destroyed. Don't half-install the landscape lighting and then just bail. I paid you a lot of money to finish the job. Please finish it."

"I was very impressed with the service. I am a photography student so I work with a lot of heavy weight programs and very large files. I also do a ton of research along with my school work. After one year of using my brand new laptop for school, I had NO space left on my computer, it was crashing constantly, files were corrupting, and of course, everything was taking forever to load. I called HelloTech for help. They were very understanding of my need for a very complete and fast repair. They were very prompt, diagnosed the issues with my computer, then gave me options on how it could be repaired and modified to accommodate my needs, along with price quotes for each option. Very professional, we worked out a plan that fixed every issue that I had. I am more than happy with my "new" laptop and I would most definitely hire them again!"

"David and his crew did a lot of work for us. He took a unusable back yard and made it into a masterpiece. He designed, used hardscape with steps using stone and flagstone for walkways. Many plants were used to finish off the look we desired. David even moved a tree from the back yard and some additional plantings to our liking. Lightings and a beautiful wood fence finished everything off nicely. We are very happy with the work and how they went about it. We would recommend Norway Landscape if you want a professional looking project. Our next project for them will be a waterfall using David's great design and rock hardscape talents."

"Two men from the company came out and gave an estimate for the number of man-hours the job would take and an estimate for the parts (4 valves & miscellaneous parts). And very importantly, the SAME two men came out to perform the job. They arrived on time and the job took exactly the number man-hours they had estimated. They really knew what they were doing - they were professionals ! The work was physically demanding (crawling around on their hands and knees) and they worked fast, even when they encountered the usual underground plumbing problems you encounter when the plumbing has been sitting underground for several decades. The plumbing work was really first class - but what really impressed me was that after all the digging out of sprinkler heads that was done, when they left they put the lawn back together so well that you couldn't tell the difference between the sprinkler heads that they replaced and the others that they didn't work on ! I would heartily recommend them for any lawn irrigation installation/maintenance/repair job. The man-hour billing rate is an established number for the company that they can tell you. The estimator job is to estimate the total number of man-hours the job will take and the approximate cost of the parts. Your job is to do the arithmetic to figure out how much the whole job will cost you."

"<p>Background information: I had already bought 2 ceiling fans that I had planned on having installed.  When I needed to have my living room and kitchen ceiling repaired because of an upstairs neighbor's faucet leak, I asked the contractors for a recommendation for an electrician. Their office, JR Johnson, recommended Squires Electrical.</p> <p>Since this is a new condo, there was an electrical junction box already in my bedroom ceiling ready to install either a light or ceiling fan. For this fan, all the electrician needed to do was pop the cap off the ceiling and install the fan (he did put the fan together for me.  He commented that the model I bought was very simple to put together).</p> <p>I wanted the second fan to be installed in the living room.  Since, in the course of needing to replace my ceiling, there was a 12 foot by 10 foot hole in my ceiling anyway, I figured that it would be easier to install the fan while the repair work was being done.</p> <p>Now this room did necessitate having an electrical junction box installed, and a wire run from my front door light as a power source.  (I chose to have the ceiling fan instead of the front door light so the fan could be controlled by the single already installed light switch.  I didn't use the front door light anyway).</p> <p>Because the ceiling repair was still going on, the electrician was able to install the electrical junction box and the wire from the existing  junction box that was for the front door light.  But, because the ceiling still needed to be finished and painted, the electrician needed to return after the ceiling was painted to install the fan.  I WAS VERY CLEAR -- I COULD NOT TAKE THE FOLLOWING MONDAY OFF TO HAVE THE FAN INSTALLED.  It HAD to be completed BEFORE MONDAY!!!  The electrician knew, understood, and agreed to this.  His office, however, found the concept too complicated to understand.  I even called to let the office know the ceiling would be OK that Friday to have the electrician install the fan.  I was told to expect the electrician by noon.</p> <p>Friday came, and no electrician.  He was supposed to be at my condo at noon.  So I called the office.  I spoke to a man.  I asked where was the electrician; I had waited until after noon to call.  Oh, he said, he's scheduled to come on Monday.  AGAIN, I explained that I could not be off work on Monday.  I had been off work for a week, and the fan had to be installed before Monday.  The office man's response?  OK, we'll send him out on TUESDAY!!!!!!  [At this point I was just a little exasperated.  I thought I was quite clear, so I repeated, again, IT HAD TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE MONDAY.  I COULD NOT TAKE OFF ANY MORE TIME FROM WORK!]  Office Man's response was, well, we'll have to send the electrician on Saturday since he was already dispatched to other calls that day, and did I understand that they couldn't guarantee that an electrician would be available on <em>such short notice</em>?!!!  Office Man did not seem to understand that it had already been decided to send the electrician to my condo on Friday so he could complete his job!!!</p> <p>Before the electrical installation work began, I had asked over the phone for an estimate of the cost.  I had been told, verbally, that it could be in the range of $550 (later I found out that this figure was based on the installation of TWO electrical junction boxes).  When I called and spoke to both the ceiling contractor (who recommended Squires) and woman at Squires, I stated SEVERAL times that the INSTALLATION OF THE CEILING FANS WERE TO BE BILLED TO <strong><em>ME</em></strong>, NOT MY INSURANCE COMPANY WHO WAS COVERING THE REPAIRS TO MY CEILING.  That seems fairly straightforward. I told my insurance agent as well that the electrical installation of the ceiling fans were NOT part of the ceiling repair and should be billed to me.</p> <p>It is now the middle of June and I still have not received a bill from Squires.  I called today and found out that they submitted their bill to JR Johnson, the contractors who were being paid by my insurance company to repair my ceiling.</p> <p>I almost went into coronary arrest when the young lady told me the bill for this electrical work was <strong>$887.00</strong>!!!  And, that it included the payment for OVERTIME for the electrician!!!  </p> <p>I said, <strong>NO</strong>! the overtime was Squire's fault for <strong><em>not</em></strong> showing up on Friday when they were scheduled and for trying to schedule the electrician for Monday when I had CLEARLY AND <em>REPEATEDLY</em> said it had to be done before Monday.  The scheduling no-show was <em>THEIR</em> fault.  Why should <strong><em>I</em></strong> be penalized?</p> <p>And, that they were NOT supposed to submit the bill to be paid by my insurance company.</p> <p>And, that $887.00 was outrageous.  $<em>300</em> over and above an estimate.  That's almost $1000.00 to install 2 simple ceiling fans!!  </p> <p>I can expect a few dollars over an estimate, but the electrician did NOT need to drill through the ceiling.  He did have to install ONE junction box.  We're not talking a major electrical remodeling job here.</p> <p>The young lady I spoke to was very polite, very professional, and promised to look into the situation.  I expect she will.  She will get back to me by phone or email.</p> <p>The electrician was great.  Quick, thorough, clean and efficient. If he weren't working for Squires, I'd hire <em>him</em> again.</p> <p>Would I engage Squires Electric again??? Are you kidding? <strong>NO!</strong></p> <p><strong>NOTE: </strong>Every company has situations where no matter what they do, things get messed up and they lose a customer.  I hope that my experience with Squires is out of their norm, or at least they take an opportunity to look at some of their procedures and improve their scheduling and fees.  They seem to have good employees (well, except Office Man), so hopefully it will be a good company.</p> <br />"
