"Everyone told me that home repair companies would likely be taking only big roofing jobs after Hurricane Zeta hit New Orleans and that I might have to wait a month or longer to replace a single missing shingle that blew off during the Category 2 hurricane. While it definitely doesn’t meet the definition of a “big job,” even a single missing shingle can result in potentially significant (not to mention expensive) water damage inside the home the next time it rains. So, we called our go-to home-repair company, One Man and A Toolbox, the Monday after the hurricane. It isn’t often that I leave friends slack-jawed but that’s just what happened when I informed them that One Man and a Toolbox was sending one of their experienced workers (Henry) out to repair our roof the very next day (Tuesday). Henry not only repaired the roof shingle in question but also fixed another errant shingle he spotted while up on our roof. Total cost: $80. We are so grateful to One Man and a Toolbox for their amazing customer service and professional quality work — especially after a hurricane. This company is a class act. If it sounds like I’m a happy (and loyal) customer, you would be absolutely correct."

"Our home was lovingly built in the late 60’s. The bathroom was craptastic: avocado green flecked tiles up the walls, green toilet, green sink and the green swirled countertops to match. We reached out to Veteran Home Repair to jazz up the joint. Tyler completed the job on schedule and now our bathroom is the ?! It is absolutely breath taking. Calgon take me away."

"We also resurfaced the cabinets in our kitchen. His craftsfmanship was outstanding. He was extremely conscientious, matched the color perfectly. This was done with new wood doors instead of particle board doors as well. Cost $600. <br /> We had a major leak from the water company. Mr. Hawkins came out at night, fixing it. $Cost $90. <br /> He is an outstanding craftsman who is totally honest. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"This was the only appliance repair company listed for me and when I called, the receptionist was very polite and professional, but sadly, had to tell me they no longer service my area. It's amazing how hard it is to find a reliable appliance repair company these days."

"Tracey and Jonathan came and emptied the garage and sorted out the junk vs good things.  They organized the times into like groupings and then determined how many stations/sections or areas the garage need to be neat and organized.  THey then cleaned the empty garage and painted the walls.  They determined what shelving would be needed and we purchased all parts needed for this. They assembled the shelving and loaded all things on the shelving in a neat and orderly fashion.  For the tool box (a medium storage chest type) Jonathan built a base that was on wheels so that the chest could be easily moved where needed.  He then built a nice work table that slid over the chest (on wheels also) for workspace which could be moved where needed.  Jonathan built a desk using some old cabinets we had as a base (as a crafting area).  All tools are nice and organized in one part of the garage, beach items/chairs in one part, crafting/paints in one part?.  Tracey also painted the doors on the cabinets beautifully using a lighter and a  medium shade of aqua green.  Some old shutters we had were used in the window -- it is not only a clean and wonderfully organized garage - it is functional and so beautiful!!!!! <br /> Jonathan and Tracey have wonderful manners.  They are sweet and helpful in every way imaginable.  Just tell them what you are thinking and need and they will come up with a solution.  They work long, hard hours to get the job done.  We have used them before for organizing our townhouse.  They helped us move/sort through 30 years and a large house worth of stuff to a small town home.  They created great spaces that are fully functional.  The neatest creation was an appliance bar.  This is a nook space where they built custom shelves with pull out sliders for the appliances.  You may pull the appliance out and you have a workspace and when done you just slide it back into its home.   <br /> Tracey cleans our house twice a month and it is so nice when she is done.  It smells fresh and clean, the towels are all arranged so artfully on the towel bars, everything just sparkles.  If she sees where I am having difficulty in any area with storage she helps and arranges things usefully.   <br /> You will not go wrong selecting this business to help you with organizing and cleaning. <br /> <br />"

"MLM uses a phone app to communicate. It is wonderful. You can give complements, mention issues, and get information on the work to be done including arrival times. They are very, very responsive via this app. Communication is above and beyond any contractor you can find. Once the job started the work continued very efficiently throughout the project. There is no downtime when working with MLM. The work is scheduled efficiently with a very good idea of the time needed for each phase. The workers are all friendly. You feel very comfortable with them in your house. The work is done well, much of it is done with excellence. The tile installers were great and the counter top fabricators they use regularly, excellent (separate review for North Lion). The result is our beautiful new home! However, our job encountered issues. We signed the contract in mid-March and the job wasn't completed until November. Four months were wasted waiting on a talented, but unresponsive designer. The workers didn't use scaffolding to do the foyer or great room work - and MLM didn't know it! Luckily no one was hurt. The estimate was for plain vanilla products. It cost us $15000 above MLM's estimate to get the quality we wanted, and even then the cabinet supplier (French Quarter Facades) they sent us to was sub-par with very bad design practices (i.e. designing to increase their cost, not to give you a good product). All major renovations encounter issues. With MLM these problems were minimal. I highly recommend MLM to anyone wanting major work completed. The problem designer doesn't work for them anymore. The guys not using scaffolding will change their practices or not work for MLM anymore. If you want more than plain vanilla, be prepared push for it and pay more for it - but they will respond!"
