"Yonis responded 1st from my Home Advisor request. He was very courteous on the phone. He came to my house gave me a reasonable quote. He and his team got the tree trimming done quickly. He also also gave me other options and we decided on one. They cleaned up the yard nicely and left my yard better than how they found it. I would highly recommend them to my friends and family."

"I’ve been using Yoan landscaping by for years, and I’ve recommended him as well because I’m extremely pleased with his services. Not only does he cut my lawn on a bi-weekly basis in addition he has done tree/stump removals, added beautiful palm trees to our lakefront backyard, maintains our trees with a service of treatment to prevent the palm trees from diseases. He has also added and maintained our hedges on both sides. I will recommend Yoan to anyone that wants a one stop shop. He does it all with respect towards your property, with fair pricing, and with a great attitude."

"I had called on a Saturday, thinking I would leave a message and hear back from them on Monday when business opened. Instead, I was pleased to hear back from Jeff shortly after I left the message! He was super nice and made an appointment to come by in a couple of days. The day of the appointment, the technician was on time and brought an assistant. they carefully opened a bunch of outlet covers, etc and sprayed something inside. they dropped natural bait traps in strategic locations (i only found some after I was cleaning later). They put feeding stations all around the yard and explained about how they worked and cautioned me to keep the kids away from them, not because the substance is harmful, but because if the feeding station is empty if the kids mess with them, the product wouldn't work properly. They worked quickly but thoroughly. I was having trouble finding my water meter and he looked for it while he was walking around the house (no luck!). Also, he mentioned a few areas of concern with regard to landscaping that were bug/rodent havens. This way, I requested the landlord remove the offending plants. Lastly, he pointed out the missing grout and holes around the perimeter of the house (inside) that are bug/rodent intrusion spots. I requested the landlord fix these and she wouldn't, so I hired my own handyman to do so. Subsequently, the palmetto bugs and millipedes roaming the house were decreased significantly. The one thing with this product/service is that it doesn't work right away. So my husband was freaking out that we paid all this money and there were still palmetto bugs crawling up the walls, etc in the converted garage portion of the house. I called last week for a service call to check it out and Jeff said that by the time he would come by, the situation would have resolved itself (it pretty much did!). I recommended them to my neighbor as well.

"Terrence and his team did an excellent job! My parents are moving and needed someone out to cut their grass and clean up the yard of very tall weeds (on 1.25 acres) that their regular lawn guy wouldnâ t touch. He made room for us even though he was very busy and came out within 24 hours of my request. I really appreciate how he gave me his word and kept his promise. I would absolutely recommend his services and will definitely call him again for future projects. Thank you! 5 stars"

FAQs for trees & shrubs treat, protect and maintain projects in Cutler Bay, FL

The optimal transplanting season depends on your tree species, but most trees respond best when moved during dormancy. For deciduous trees, late fall after leaf drop or early spring before bud break provides the lowest stress periods. Evergreens transplant better in early fall or late summer when soil temperatures remain warm enough for some root growth. Avoiding transplanting during active growth periods helps trees direct energy toward establishing new roots rather than supporting foliage.

While technically, trees of any size can be transplanted with the right equipment and expertise, practical considerations limit what's reasonable for most homeowners. Trees with trunk diameters under 15 inches are most commonly transplanted in residential settings. Success rates decline as trees increase in size and age, with specimens over 24 inches in diameter presenting significant challenges and costs. For large trees, carefully weigh the substantial investment against the potential benefits and survival probability.

Most transplanted trees require one to two years to fully establish in their new location, with larger specimens often needing additional time. During this establishment period, the tree regenerates roots that were inevitably lost during the move. Signs of successful establishment include normal seasonal growth patterns, healthy leaf development, and reduced dependence on supplemental watering. The quality of aftercare during this critical period significantly influences long-term survival rates.

Self-transplanting is feasible for small trees with trunk diameters under two to three inches if you have proper tools and follow correct techniques. However, medium to large trees require professional expertise and specialized equipment to ensure tree survival and property protection. While professional services cost more initially, they achieve much higher success rates and prevent potential damage to your property or the tree itself. The investment in professional services often proves worthwhile when considering the value of mature trees.
