"This company did not provide me with a contract or reciept. They were flexible. They packed my storage poorly, then had to pack and unpack and repack. They had no regard for my belongings. I have several pieces of broken furniture and dishes. I would not recommend using this service."

"I have personally used this locally owned & operated business 5 times over the past 15 years & have ALWAYS experienced a top rate professional & affordable service. Moving is stressful, even with the most ideal conditions & preparations in place, and yet the Around the Block team never ceases to impress me in their ability to efficiently & effectively manage & eliminate that burden. This most recent time I also decided to use their packing services & was blown away with Megan & Kate?s work ethic, results, & special needs communications with my movers. It was a seamless experience for this tough task with many moving parts. I highly recommend ATB for both small & large jobs & everything in between. "

Customers say: Super punctual

"Such a wonderful group of men who carefully wrapped our antique furniture and packed my other antiques. They moved them all into our garage with the smaller pieces gently lifted into the 2nd story. The same group returned three times to return the furniture into the house and then to unwrap the antique items and placed them back into place. Nothing was broken or chipped. In 13 years and 4 moves via the military; we have never had such professional and pleasant movers. I will use them again."

"Moving from Dallas to Chicago. Appreciated the 30-day free storage but expect this is where the problems arose. The packing and loading crew were good. The unloading and re-assembling crew not so good, rushed and somewhat indifferent as to where the items were to be placed in the new location. Also, and most disappointing, is that when we were finally able to get into our boxes and furniture, we found significant water damage that could have only been done while the items were in storage though we were re-assured multiple times that the storage facility was secure and safe. Obviously not. With thousands of dollars in damages and some items totally destroyed (old photos) we were offered $100. Amazing that they can take your property, reassure you that it is secure and then be indifferent to the significant water damage. Based on this, I cannot recommend them for a long-distance, out-of-state move or any move that includes storage."

FAQs for in-state moving service projects in Dallas, TX

Laws differ from state to state, but the number one rule is that you cannot move a mobile home on your own. You have to hire a licensed mobile home moving company. While each state is different, you’ll also have to research HUD codes, permits, and other laws specific to the area to ensure your move follows all necessary regulations.

Yes, a permit is required to move a mobile home. You must secure permits in the state of origin and in every state through which the mobile home passes. When moving across state boundaries, obtain a permit for each state. Your moving company assists in acquiring all required permits, ensuring strict compliance with local regulations during the entire relocation process.

No, you cannot move a mobile home built before 1976. Mobile homes constructed before 1976 do not meet current safety standards and must not be relocated. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development enforces strict guidelines that prevent moving older models. Verify the build year and comply with all HUD regulations to ensure safety and legal compliance.
