"Moving from Dallas to Chicago. Appreciated the 30-day free storage but expect this is where the problems arose. The packing and loading crew were good. The unloading and re-assembling crew not so good, rushed and somewhat indifferent as to where the items were to be placed in the new location. Also, and most disappointing, is that when we were finally able to get into our boxes and furniture, we found significant water damage that could have only been done while the items were in storage though we were re-assured multiple times that the storage facility was secure and safe. Obviously not. With thousands of dollars in damages and some items totally destroyed (old photos) we were offered $100. Amazing that they can take your property, reassure you that it is secure and then be indifferent to the significant water damage. Based on this, I cannot recommend them for a long-distance, out-of-state move or any move that includes storage."

"If there were more stars to give Jabari and his team, they would still get the highest rating. I recently had to make a quick move by myself(48 yr old working lady, with a 2bd/2bth apartment, lol), and i wasn’t sure how to start. DWD came in packed up my stuff(with care, they didn’t manhandle or break anything), moved it, and helped me with every little thing I needed assistance with. Moving is ALWAYS a hassle and a headache, BUT this is the first time it was stress and worry free. They have a professional TV mounter on hand(Derek!! Highly recommended also!!!) who came in and mounted my TV’s in what felt like minutes!!! Have you ever been able to move your entire home in 1 day?? No?!?! Me either!!!! That is, Until this past Saturday! All the guys were so nice, helpful, amazing, personable, great, and much more! They are the type of people you feel like you’ve known forever. My new besties are Jabari and the entire DWD crew!!! If you want your move done quick, painless, and affordable……call them!! You WILL NOT be disappointed."

Moving is stressful, even with the most ideal conditions & preparations in place, and yet the Around the Block team never ceases to impress me in their ability to efficiently & effectively manage & eliminate that burden. This most recent time I also decided to use their packing services & was blown away with Megan & Kate?s work ethic, results, & special needs communications with my movers. They carried boxes marked "Fragile" upside down, broke items in half, water-damaged upholstered items, and their contract obviously requires waiving most claims. I've moved several times, and this is one of the worst moving experiences I've had."

"This company did not provide me with a contract or reciept. They were flexible.They packed my storage poorly, then had to pack and unpack and repack. They had no regard for my belongings. I have several pieces of broken furniture and dishes. I would not recommend using this service."
