"Brenda and USA Cabinet Store created the design and procured materials for the complete renovation of my 10+ year old master bathroom. The primary goal was to replace the large and unused jacuzzi tub with more usable storage space and to make the entire space more functional and visually appealing, fitting in with the contemporary design of my townhome. I couldn't be happier with the end result, which also included replacement of all vanity cabinets, floor, wall tiling, etc. Brenda was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend for your home renovation project!"

"Roberto helped me get my home ready to sell during the summer (door trim, ceilings, Gaga, exterior trim). He did some interior/exterior work for me prior to listing photos being taken. Roberto’s attention to detail and quality of work is impeccable. He is efficient, has a great staff, and super customer service. We were so happy with his work that we have referred him to several friends and family. Thank you, Roberto!"

"You have to pay up front before any work has been done through his website or phone app. And you pay for a set amount of hours. If it takes longer, you pay again. You don't get reimbursed if it didn't take as long as you paid for. If he has to travel to get a different part, he is on the clock for that too, even if he bought the wrong part to begin with. Seemed like he was learning a few things as he started installing some things, like the closet doors - he bought the wrong roller mechanisms and didn't know how to install a peep hole eyeglass - in fact he lost a part of the magnifier and had to go back to the store to buy another one, as well as the closet roller mechanisms - all at my expense. I do not recommend this company."

"I used Service Express several times throughout the years, and I cannot express how much I appreciate them. Mike and Adam, both Lead Techs, and their crew were awesome. I had several things completed: duct redesign/replacement (all of it), vent cleaning (all 16), and dryer line cleaning. Mike provided a detailed estimate before I agreed to the job. Once the job was completed days later, Mike walked me through everything that was completed. I was pleased in what I saw! The entire crew were respectful, courteous and professional. And Gilbert, the owner, is about the nicest and most respectful person I ever met! I highly recommend their services! They earned a lifetime customer!!"

"At first not so good. This was several years back. A new woman was hired to coordinate installations. The work I requested was not completed and the scheduling personel became very defensive when questioned, although i am the customer. Long story short, the owner became involved and corrected the situation. Would have given a five star had the scheduler been polite and not defensive."

"Texas Remodel did a great job on our new sunroom. They used quality materials and the craftsmanship was excellent. They always cleaned up after their work and left the site in perfect condition. We had to wait a number of months before beginning for some special order windows, but once construction began the job moved right along. We got cheaper bids but decided to "pay up" for their good reputation and we were not disappointed. Once again, you get what you pay for. Would definitely hire them again."

"Extremely well !! I had previously used Southwestern Roofing crews for fencing, roof, skylight replacement and exterior painting. Called them back for all the interior work. The crew of Jose Morales, Pablo, and Dante provided very excellent service all the way around. My 38-year old house had never been painted inside, and had many sheet rock repair issues due to having my plumbing replaced in 2003 and walls never repaired, stains from plumbing and roof leaks (repairs to plumbing and roof previously fixed), issues with old termite damage, etc. Jose and his crew did a fantastic job on all these wall issues, repairing sheet rock wherever needed, prepping all wall areas for painting including texture where needed, and then doing the painting of drywall, doors, and trim. Their painting was absolutely professional and my house looks brand new (I've seen painting done by other 'professionals', and Jose's crew was far and above). Painting was done exactly as I wanted, and if they noticed something that needed re-doing, they took care of right away. The crew took close attention to detail. They also installed new porcelain tile floors in my kitchen and one bathroom (removing old vinyl) and in master bath (removed carpet). This floor installation was done flawlessly, and the floors are extremely level (even others have noticed this!). The floors are gorgeous! I had my kitchen and bath counters replaced with a quartz product - this crew did not handle that as they handle granite only - but they did install a gorgeous new kitchen back splash. They also made sure the plumbing and cook top was disconnected before counter installation, and re-connected after. As an added bonus, since the bathroom floors were being replaced and the toilets had to be taken up, they also installed new water-saving toilets. Jose Morales, as the lead, was an excellent lead person on this project. If there was ANY problem (even things originally done when house was built), he made sure it was fixed and done correctly. The whole crew was very honest, hard working, and very professional. I am VERY pleased with my 'new' home!!"

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Dayton, TX

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
