"Jim, a master carpenter, arrived at agreed time and was able to repair a damaged kitchen island countertop so it looks great. Also fixed rickety chairs, two drawer slides, loose bathroom tiles and installed several carpet transitions strips. All done in a professional manner. Countertop repair took some real brainstorming and Jim came up with a great fix, avoiding replacement of a top that couldn’t be matched."

"I was very impressed from start to finish. We needed a 3 man team to complete the work. They prepped, moved furniture and did all the hard work. The difference in our space is night and day. We had the fireplace grouted and white washed, a 2 story accent wall and the whole main area of the house painted."

"Working with Hays and Sons was not a good experience. We had water damage and they made repairs without checking with our insurance company so we ended up paying out of pocket. They did a terrible job painting our ceiling and their solution was to paint one stripe at the top of each wall. Now we have to paint all the walls on the first floor ourselves. They initially charged us for over $2,000 of services they did not provide. I think they hope customers don't look carefully at the bills, especially if the insurance company is paying."
