"I contacted Infinity Exteriors after a small leak appeared in our ~25 year old roof during a recent rain storm. Their representative, Ricky, arrived within 2 days to evaluate the situation and, after a thorough examination of both the exterior and interior structure of the roof, gave me the option to either patch the area causing the leak, together with another area with distorted shingles, or to replace the roof entirely. Given the age of the roof, I elected to proceed with the whole roof replacement and also had them install new gutter guards which I had been planning to replace in any case. Since I had an active leak, the roof replacement was scheduled for less than than 2 weeks after the initial contact. The entire process was very impressive. The roofing crew arrived as expected at 7:00 AM and immediately got to work, the dumpster and materials arrived within the next 2 hours, the original roof was stripped soon after noon. Several roof boards were replaced, a new water diverting "cricket" built above the chimney, new shingles and new chimney flashing installed and the work site thoroughly cleaned up by 8:00 PM the same day. I observed an outstanding work ethic from everyone on the crew. Gutter Guards were installed a few days later in a process that took less than 2 hours and a final inspection took place the day after that. Communication by phone and email throughout the entire process with both Ricky and the Project Manager, Jim, was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending Infinity Exteriors and would definitely use them again."

The crew did a great job protecting and respecting our numerous plantings -- thus we had minimal damage. They spent significant extra effort to haul all the debris across the roof to small landing spot in front. "Seidel provided a competitive bid to replace the roof and gutters. We had some specific questions with respect to the work. Udo responded to our questions pretty quickly and thoroughly. One question we had in particular was how Seidel would deal with the existing skylight. Udo was quite specific in his response: "on the skylights there is a factory step flashing that is very high quality aluminum with a baked on enamel finish and i can assure it will not have to be replaced. our procedure around the skylight is as follows. remove skylight frame and step flashing wrap skylight with ice/water shield. re install step flashing over ice/water shield. install skylight frame over ice/water shield and step flashing. this will give you a permanent seal. " Based on the competitive bid, the thorough response, and the good reviews, we decided to go with Udo and Seidel. Seidel completed the work in Fall 2013 according to the contract specifications. We have for the most part been happy with the outcome in terms of both the aesthetics of the roof, as well as its function. However, several weeks ago (March 2017), my wife noticed serious leaks from the skylight in our kitchen ceiling. The leaks were serious enough to cause water damage to our kitchen floor. When she called Seidel, the person who answered the phone advised there was no way the roof could be the problem, and refused to even take a look at the situation. When my wife asked about tarping the roof until the leak could be repaired, he advised Seidel would charge $400 to tarp the roof. That weekend, I left a message for Udo asking him to call me back to discuss looking at the leak to determine the root cause. I never heard anything from Udo or Siedel. We have since sought bids from other contractors to repair the leak. My complaint has more to do with Seidel's complete lack of responsiveness to this most recent situation, rather than to their workmanship in replacing the roof in 2013. I did not initially place the call expecting Seidel to do anything other than inspect the situation, and advise what steps to take to resolve it - whether it had to do with Seidel repairing any problems with the roof, or replacing the skylight. Unfortunately, Seidel did not even bother to check. Given their lack of responsiveness, I do not foresee using them or recommending them in the future as a result of this experience."
