"I could not have been more pleased with R&P Outdoor Solutions' price and performance! I am an elderly woman living on social security, and I had never imagined that I could afford to have the two dead trees in my yard cut down. I lived in fear every time bad weather surfaced, worrying about them crashing into my cabin. I received the recommendation from Angi's List, and placed the initial phone call to R&P Outdoor Solutions for an estimate at 4:00 p.m. on May 5th. By 6:00, they were at my cabin and gave me a ridiculously low estimate (these were two *big* black walnut trees). To keep the estimate low, I asked only to have the trees cut down, not removed from the property. Of course, I agreed to their price, and by 7:30 p.m., both trees were down with no damage to my property. Richard and Jeremy continued to work for another hour and a half, cutting those trees into more manageable sizes for my husband and I to deal with. I was blessed with this recommendation. This has been such a weight off my shoulders. Both Richard Wilcox and his partner, Jeremy, were wonderful! Could not give a higher recommendation! Five Stars! Thanks, Angis List!"

"They worked really hard in some horrible heat cutting trees back from around our pasture fence line and back yard. Some trees had to be cut down because they were dead. They also cut down a tree in the front of our home and did more trimming of other trees in the same area. Thank you, Cody and Kelly!!ð  Â"

"I called A-1 Husky's the morning of 8 March (Friday) and asked if I could get a quote for tree cutting. Husky's came to my house that morning, gave me a quote and started the three day job that afternoon. The lady answering the phone was extremely responsive and called me back numerous times to make sure that coordination was being done between myself and the work crew. My yard is on high ground and a steep slope must be navigated in order to gain access to the trees and stumps which made the job very difficult for any vehicles or equipment towed by vehicles to access the work area. A-1 Husky's was able to winch their vehicles up the hill and into the yard which enabled them to use the correct equipment to bring down some very large trees located two feet from my house; without damaging or injuring anyone. They also removed my neighbors two dying trees without damaging the fence. They did however leave giant ruts from their truck tires all over my yard do to the fact that they have not yet upgraded to hovercraft for their work vehicles. But that was discussed in the morning when I received my quote. I will be redoing the yard soon and some tire ruts along with twenty something tree stump holes will all be taken care of soon. The crew seemed to be very skilled at cutting down trees as I saw them fall some big trees right where they wanted them to go and they never once came close to damaging my house. No doubt this could have been a one day job for these guys had it not been for the hill and about four trees being close to the house. They were fast and efficient but not reckless and that made my wife and I happy. Very happy with the experience overall.

"I had several large oaks, hickories and populars close to my house removed last year. The price was right, they listened to all of my concerns, were efficient and cleaned up till my yard was spotless. But also Mr. Kelly is truly an artist when it comes to felling trees in complicated spots and his experience shows. I will hire them again for any of my tree trimming/removal needs."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Dickson, TN

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
