While they were at our house for the basement waterproofing estimate we had them take a look at our deck and kitchen just to get an idea of the pricing. "Brian and his crew were absolutely incredible. We just moved into a home in Takoma Park, MD and our front and back yard were in need of some major work. The backyard was a complete jungle. It was extremely overgrown with weeds, brush, poison ivy, and dead/unattractive trees. Brian's crew manually dug out everything and removed all of the dead trees as well as their roots. They also cut back a ton of bamboo and then laid mulch down in the entire yard. Brian and his crew were able to start within days after getting the final quote. Brian is an extremely reasonable, knowledgable, and caring person. In addition to his landscaping knowledge, he is also a "master gardener." We had no clue about what to do next, so he offered to draw out some sketches of designs (free of charge) as well as ideas for plants and flowers that would be suitable for our particular yard. "This work took place eleven months ago, but that gives us the ability to say that everything Kurt’s team planted looks great and is growing nicely, except one bush that is struggling, which Kurt agreed to replace without hesitation. We have been in our house for 22 years, and finally got around to replacing the crummy landscaping and walkway the developer put in. Distinct Landscapes installed a paver walkway, and a complete set of bushes, flowers and a crape myrtle tree. The work was done very well and within budget, and the crew distinguished itself by how well they cleaned up the site. The spacing between plantings to allow for future growth seems perfect. Most of all we like Kurt. He is low-key and friendly, offers solid, knowledgeable opinions when asked, and never applies any sort of sales pressure.
