"Greenridge Landscaping/Bryan did a fantastic job of taking a large area, on the side/back of the house, that was overgrown with invasive plants and turned it into an area that has a 150 foot creek where there was water erosion and landscaped the rest with native plants and a grass lawn. It turned out beautiful! Bryan from Greenridge did an excellent job of visualizing the area and what it could be explaining it clearly and then completing it in a timely efficient manner with very a very capable crew and a finished product that was better than expected. From the natural looking creek complete with boulders to help with keeping the smaller creek rock in place as well as looking very cool to the tree's and bushes that are native to this area and flower in the spring and have great fall color and the lawn which came in beautifully and stayed in place by using landscape netting to keep it from washing down the hills. Of the 17 bushes and trees one did not make it and they replaced that free of charge with their one year replacement guarantee. If you are looking for a company you can count on these guys did a great job from start to finish and are capable of any landscaping project. They are worth the money to be able to enjoy the finished product year after year. Thanks to Bryan and his Greenridge crew!"

"Shawnee Landscaping was a pleasure to work with. We tried a couple of other landscaping companies first, but they either didn't call us back at all, or came to look at the job and never came back with the quote. This task was part 1 of a larger landscaping job, so I can't imagine our job is too small to be of interest to other service providers. <br /> Jason was helpful on the phone and arrived for the quote as planned. He looked at our property in the evening, which was convenient for us. He asked for our ideas and made suggestions. He took measurements and made notes and then came back a week later to go over the quote with us. The quote included a computer-generated drawing of our property and indicated the placement of plants, rock, etc. as we had discussed. He also included a document with photos of the plants he planned to use, which was very helpful. <br /> It took about three weeks from our acceptance of the quote to start the job, which seemed very reasonable considering it was the middle of summer. His crew arrived as planned and completed this phase of the project in one day. They hauled away the plant material they removed, as well as the concrete pad. We came home to a nice, neat yard. <br /> We have already scheduled part 2 of our project. <br />"

"We contacted 4 companies to take care of our 2 car garage roof.   Randy's bid wasn't the lowest, but it was competitive, and they could start immediately.  The bid included new shingles, soffit repair, installation of roof venting, and some minor siding repair. <br /> <br /> Work started on Monday, completed on Wednesday (the soffit and siding work alone took 2 days).  The two men who did the work (Larry & Mark) were professional, put in 8 hours of steady work each day, didn't loaf around, and cleaned up after themselves. <br /> <br /> The quality of work is very good, and the company is giving us a 10 year warranty on the work.  I'm glad we didn't take the cheapest bid (only by $300).  My wife and I are pleased with the results, and will contact them for future projects."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Dongola, IL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
