"My stone pad for my business was one of the best contracting experiences I have had as a business owner; start to finish. Mike was spot on with quote, he was very knowledgeable with site setup. When arrived onsite Mike was very friendly, professional and extremely efficient at installing my stone pad. The pad install looks awesome. Mike took extra precautions to not damage well and lawn. Highly recommended. 5 stars for M.S. Ward Land Enhancement ."

"Everything went very well from the first call to completion. Estimator was very responsive, professional and helpful. Project manager and foreman were very good also. The men who did the work were professional, considerate of our home, polite and did a great job and great cleanup. We have an estimate for vinyl fencing installation and will use United Construction again for that, in the spring."

"We are thrilled with the work that Chris/Elegant Estates has just completed for us. From design to implementation to completion, Chris was highly professional and easy to work with. He knew we had a specific date for a special event at our home and made sure to complete the work on time. The plantings are exquisite – and the pavers are perfect. Many friends, neighbors and passersby have commented on the beauty of the new landscaping. One remarked that she had never seen a house receive a “face-lift” as transformative as this one. We are grateful to have found Elegant Estates and highly recommend Chris to you without reservation!"

"I was very pleased with the work B&B did on my driveway.  Lou Buttino the owner was very responsive and answered all of our questions through the process.  His team was on time and very friendly.  I am very happy with the new driveway and the quality of the work they did.  They poured a very solid base with good depth, looks great.  I will definitely have them do the topcoat next year.  Their price was not the cheapest, but also not most expensive.....you get what you pay for! "

"They have been mowing our yard for a few years and this year they dropped us with no explanation.  They usually come every spring and mow through the summer.  After calling numerous times this spring with no response, I finally got in touch with someone who told me they are not coming back this summer  - this after speaking with one of the workers who said he's find and out call back  Of course he never did.  The person I spoke with would not give me a reason.  When I asked when they planned to notify me, she said I'm notifying you now (when my grass is 8" tall no less).  She finally admitted that our slope is too wet - aren't landscapers supposed to deal with this?   I scrambled and found another mower who is doing a much better job.  I don't have an issue with the workers, they did the job well and came like clockwork.  About 2 years ago, the owner said he would come out and give us recommendations on new landscaping but he never showed.  I didn't bother calling them with a major overhaul, a $15,000 job estimate - it's going to another company because I didn't want to bother with them."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Dryden, NY

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
