"Very well. They painted the whole exterior, fixing wood problems as they found them, in a day and a half. I would use them again. The cost was reasonable."

"<p>Jason was professional from the very first phone call. I asked him for color advice and he told me about 8 1/2and quot; x 11and quot; paintable sheets that I could buy at Home Depot and paint with sample colors. It took me four trys before I found the perfect color. He is the best painter I have ever used and his lines are almost perfect. He had to paint above and around cream colored kitchen cabinets and there was no paint on the cabinets at all. Although it is a brand new house, he pole sanded all of the walls and skim coated any wall that needed it. He taped all of the baseboards and covered the floor and kitchen counters. He was so efficient that he completed the job with two coats of paint in two days. He is a very special person and a fantastic painter and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs painting done in their home. </p> <br />"

"There were 3 painters, and they finished in 3 days. The living room and master bedroom have 17 foot ceilings and painting was done with ladders and not scaffold. There were two coats of paint applied. As this was a previously owned residence, there were many nail holes that were patched and painted. <br /> The were not the least expensive bid received, but based on the number of Angies list reviews, and the positive nature of all of them, decided on them. <br /> . <br /> They moved the furniture out of the way, and placed it back when done with the room <br /> .They were very professional, on time, and got right to work. <br /> We now have another contract with them to do additional painting at a future date <br />"

"Have you ever been happy to write out a check for things done around the house? First time for everything they say! Scott and his crew were great! Professional yet down to earth, the kind of person that treats you like a friend. His work is meticulous, there isn't a drop of stain on the ground or in the shrubs. He even cleaned off my grill cover while they power washed! He and his crew did an excellent job on our deck, made it look like new again. There was no rush to get it done either, the time was taken to do it correctly. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have their deck done. He also does painting! I am sitting here trying to figure out if we need anything painted because I know that any job he would do, would have the same level of expertise that he showcased in refurbishing our deck. Overall five stars on price, timeliness, professionalism, job site cleanliness and overall satisfaction. Thanks for a job well done!"

"We have used Darrell on several projects now and have been very satisfied with the quality of his work, and find he is very easy to work with.  He draws on many years of experience building and repairing homes, and has a very good understanding of how to work on an older house like ours (1901).  He is also very versatile, and seems to be able to handle almost any project we throw at him.  Best of all, he knows his limitations and makes recommendations for specialists (like an electrician and a drywall guy) to bring in when he feels they can do a better / faster job. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Duncannon, PA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
