I ended up understanding a lot more about the process of having the trees removed and the stump of the oak removed. He explained that for safety a crane would be used, parked on the driveway and reaching over the house to the tree. The stump removal would require their contacting Miss Utility which would take 1 to 2 weeks The work was scheduled for the next Monday and everything happened as explained. 11 days later the stump was removed and ground."

Gordon Frazier gave us a very competitive price to cut and remove over 50 trees and remove the stumps on about 15 of those trees. This was a large and difficult job. "We were delighted with the responsiveness, work, and price for R&R to take down the upper portion of a tall tree that had snapped 50' above ground, with the snapped top hanging precariously, partially attached but ready to fall. We got three estimates. The first tree company kept saying how dangerous it was, how difficult to take it down, how complicated, and then said it would cost $1500. The 2nd company wanted to tie the top of the tree to their truck and pull it down, for $600 (an option we thought was highly questionable). R&R came out within 24 hours of our call, sized it up, explained in detail how they would go up an adjacent tree, tie off the broken tree section for safety, then climb the problem tree 50' and cut down the broken portion and lower it to the ground, then cut it up for us -- for $480, using a crew of three. We saw other great reviews on Angies List and signed a contract with R&R and within a few days they had done it professionally, safely, just as they said. We also had them prune two overgrown crape myrtles, for $100 each, and they did an excellent job with them as well, and cleaned up everything afterwards. We were completely satisfied and definitely would use them again."

"They were quick to respond and performed the work within a week, However, that is the only nice thing I have to say. Scheduling was a bit odd (texting on Monday morning asking to come over with no notice--which I was unable to do--and then the next day cancelling at the last minute after I took time off from work to meet them). When they actually performed the work, they left a giant tree limb in my backyard, which I now somehow have to dispose of, and huge gouges in my front lawn (looks like their truck took a joy ride, despite my having more than ample driveway space). They assured me the lawn would "puff back up" when it rained, but of course it didn't, because that is not a thing. Instead, now I have nice lakes in my yard that should make for excellent mosquito feeding grounds in a few months. They promised to "send someone out" to look at the damage, but of course they didn't do that either. So in addition to paying (way too much) for tree trimming and removal, I get to pay to repair my lawn and figure out how to remove this tree limb from my yard."

"Destiny's Tree Service is a wonderful company to work with. We had two huge Leland cypress trees twice as tall as our house, wedged between two houses. Marvin and his Destiny's crew were amazing. They skillfully removed both trees, being careful not to damage the houses, roof, bushes, and lawn. Then they did a perfect job again removing two big stumps. Everyone paid such attention to detail. "The whole process was very easy; after calling to schedule, they were actually able to come out the next day since they were in the area. The staff was very professional and took care to not damage some fragile beds and plantings. Two of the trees were very close to the fenceline, and everything was taken down expertly. One tree was a very large dead tree and it also was taken down skillfully. Everything was cleaned up very neatly; we had asked if they could also take a brush pile, which they did. We chose not to have the stumps ground as the trees were all in the backyard. Overall, an excellent experience and would hire again."
