"Erie came and took a look at the 4 crushed driveway slabs that required replacement, quoting us a very reasonable figure for the work. He didn’t try to upsell us and didn’t offer a “ deal for the day” either. He waited for a few days as we were waiting for another quote before making our decision. As he began demo, he found that the concrete thickness just wasn’t up code and recommended we take up the 2 remaining slabs to prevent more cracking in the future. The additional charge was little more than the cost of the materials. He removed the concrete and dug down to get the proper 4” depth, and even delayed the concrete pour in the face of a potential rain storm. He a a co-worker finished off the concrete beautifully, so that now the older sidewalk looks kind of bad! Great job, removed all debris and left the yard in good shape (he can’t bring rain, although maybe…). Very happy with the result, and would bring back in a second if I had any concrete work to do."
