"Bert went over and above to do this job.  The opening for the storm was not standard and the sill had to be built up.  The storms were caulked and painted in and extremely difficult to remove.  Many other road blocks came up due to the age of the house.  He met them all and did not quit till he got everything right.  I would recommend his work to anyone looking for a quality worker and person.  I now have him on speed dial. <br />"

"The work was done as described on the estimate and the price was consistent. The work was completed in 2 days as originally estimated. Joe's crew were very friendly and polite. They asked permission before removing plants or dispersing top soil."

"The yard work that the guys did was always good.  The owner however is very hard to work with and is non responsive.  I have been waiting for over a year for him to contact regarding a complaint I have.  Also used them for snowplowing for a little while.  Asked them to plow during the day when I was at work and the double driveway was empty.  Several times they plowed when car was in driveway and then came back the same day and plowed the other side...but then they charged me double. <br />"

"The initial contact/ meeting was positive and after discussion the work began in an acceptable time frame. We requested a blueprint/ sketch prior to beginning the project and received a rudamentary diagram. Proceeding in good faith, the project was to last 1 week from start to finish but with several delays it was completed in approx. 3 weeks. Delays ranged from weather related to an incorrect pattern. At various points during the project, conversations regarding the progress, unexpected changes, incorrect pattern, and the final product occurred. Many of our concerns and comments appeared to be dismissed as trivial and an inconvienence. As the project fell further behind schedule the quality of the work lessened. Several miss cuts were still used as part of the final projduct. Permanent marker lines were left on the block on the steps and on the patio pavers where cuts may need to be made. Even after the mistakes were pointed out, few if any steps were taken to correct them. To correct a safety concern regarding the steps from the home adding more block was suggested but we were told it would be at an additional cost because "we" changed the design. The project was completed and we paid the agreed balance with hesitation. It appeared that our concerns and needs as a consumer were not a priority.... getting to the next job seemed more important."

"<p>     This was an easier job for a contractor and Brent showed how easy it was.  Out goal was to replace the ORIGINAL cellar stairs with new stair to support 300lbs of weight.  It was pretty simple and Brent finished the job in 1/2 day.  We use the cellar to store canned goods and supplies.  I'm about 250 lbs and carrying heavy items was a concern.  The new stairs can easily support my weight and additional pounds easily.</p> <p>     the outside of the house was in need since the last home owners neglected the home.  Brent replace the damaged wood and covered the wood with a metal paneling to protect the interior.  Looks great.</p>"

"I have used Yardmaster for most of the mowing season. I have been impressed by the professionalism from the first contact with Melissa to schedule the initial consultation for quote, to the client representative Chad George's knowledge, and to the courteousness of the gentlemen who come to mow my yard. Their prices are competitive and their services are vast. I would recommend Yardmaster for small to large jobs. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Erie, PA

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
