"<p>They are rated on Angie's List. I have a yearly plan. I think they are pretty good. Employees work for them and sometimes I wonder how well they spray the lawn as far as do they really spray properly over all the areas, in that sense.   </p>"

"It's fine, he has only done one treatment, it's not time for another treatment. I'm not due for another month or two. He sprayed for whatever fungus was in the ground at this time. He bases it on what's growing, or what the problem is, and what time of the year it is. I don't know exactly what he did. It was $89, so it's reasonable. I signed up for it and all of a sudden he shows up. He doesn't answer his phone calls, that was something that I did not like. He showed up ready to spray, and I said wait a minute, I didn't know you were coming. That kind of stuff irritates me. It was a half price deal, which means if I buy it, it's going to be more. He tried pushing for mosquito spraying for the yard. We do have mosquito's here, but I did not want that because, it kills else. All of the stuff that I don't want to kill. I didn't like that part. It was just one treat, and I just had a brand new lawn put in. I have a problem out there, and I don't know how to stop it. I need to stop my dog from peeing all over. He's not real consistent."

"We used this company for a couple of years. They did an excellent job restoring our unused system when we bought our house. They came to us highly recommended by our landscaper. They started out capable, reasonable, reliable and professional but with one incident got expensive at the end. When they turned on our system in the spring, there were two leaks that they did not catch. They charged us $270 for two guys to fix those leaks several days later after damage had been done to our lawn. The two men were here less than an hour and replaced inexpensive parts. Lawn repair was up to us. Aside from the suspicion that the leaks were caused by their inadequate shutdown of the system the previous fall, we were shocked by the cost. <br /> <br /> Aware that this was not good service, Mid-South's owner "made it right". They try hard for good customer service, and in this case made a mistake."

FAQs for lawn care aeration projects in Eads, TN

Aeration is the best way to keep your lawn healthy and vibrant. Annual aeration makes your lawn more breathable and helps nutrients reach the roots, improving water absorption and reducing puddles where pests might breed. However, timing matters. It's best to avoid aerating during droughts, extreme heat, or if your lawn is battling weeds. A local pro can help you determine the ideal time for your yard.

Most lawns benefit from annual aeration to keep them healthy and thriving. If your lawn has a lot of thatch buildup—more than half an inch—you might need to aerate twice a year for a couple of years to get it under control. But if your soil isn't compacted and there's minimal thatch, you might be able to skip a year.

When you hire a professional lawn care company, a standard 10,000-square-foot lawn takes about 30 minutes to aerate. Uneven, sloped, or especially large lawns can take significantly more time. So, depending on your lawn's size and condition, the process can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours.

The best time to aerate your lawn is during the spring or fall when your grass is actively growing and the soil has enough moisture. Aerating once in the spring and once in the fall yields the best results. Avoid aerating when your lawn is dormant or right after heavy rain when the soil is too wet—that can make aeration less effective.

Even if your lawn looks healthy, aeration can still be beneficial. If you have good growth, proper drainage, and little thatch, you might not need to aerate right away. Regular aeration helps water and nutrients reach the roots, keeping your lawn strong over time. Keep an eye on your lawn's condition to decide when it might need aeration.
